NEWS FLASH!!!! Track and supports sighted

Would that be like a sort of "Chose Your Own Adventure" for rollercoasters? Neat concept and I think it could be done, but I am still a little skeptical at this point.

Deanne, I think the fire that you are talking about happened at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey back in 1984.

It's too bad that vandals have to ruin something for everyone.... Meanwhile, the suspense of next year's new ride is driving most of us nutty!!

I remember that fire very well. We were growing up in New Jersey at the time, and had been working on our mom to take us to Great Adventure for literally YEARS. Just as we thought we were making progress, that fire happened -- so much for going to Great Adventure.

It'd be 2 more years before I got on my first coaster, Jackrabbit at Kennywood, and 4 before we finally got to Great Adventure for the first time.

Ok, I NEVER SAID dueling....I said its one ride with 2 tracks. 2 totally different tracks, but one ride, I know its a lil hard to digest, but give it a try, you may like it...

So what do you exactly CALL 'one ride with two totally different tracks'? Cause that sounds like the definition of a dueling coaster to me.

At any rate, you are still wrong. What more concerning is that so many people around here believe it.

I really think that this is not going to duel. There is barly any white track. i think the white track is for like a finish line.
I strongly believe the Finish Line Theory for the white track. One thing though...there is 2 pieces of white track...Maybe they are dueling and they have a piece of white track for both rides...This theory sound a bit beleivable...but again it is just a THEORY...at this point we dont know the facts yet.

Why is it that no one believes the people (who obviously know what's going on) who say that the ride will be ONE huge coaster, and all three colors are for the top hat with red being for the majority of the ride?

Don't expect a dueling coaster....you people are setting yourselves up for a disappointment.

I still think this is gonna be the ugliest thing ever built!
Since all this is speculation and rumor, I remember an old one about a coaster that would offer you different routes, one coaster, with 3 different tracks was the old rumor.

I for one would rather see the money available for the ride spent on one large coaster, rather than two tracks. I don't buy into the dueling concept making a more exciting ride. I'd rather have one ride with more substance to it, and I think that is what the new coaster will be.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.

I believe that it will be a single track, Intamin Rocket Coaster, with the white track as a finish line. Why a finish line on a non-dueling/racing coaster is beyond me, but dueling just sounds somewhat rediculous. IMO it's common sense that if there's only 2 pieces of white track, its doubtful that its enough track for two coasters.

And the reason I think no body is standing up for the solo-coaster theory is that they're all "in the know" and are all laughing at the dueling theory :)

It's amazing that this discussion can have substance after 14 pages of talk on what we already know.
Hmmm... Red and White track...

SANTA CLAUS: THE RIDE! :)

I own you!

There are some new photos at Virtual Midway if anyone wants to see.
What if there are 2 stations like with MF and the white track is either for the transfer from station to station or the track for each station.
