News: Cedar Point to show the Ohio State vs. Iowa football game on the giant outdoor screen

Considering OSU-Michigan takes place in the beginning of November, it probably wasn't. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Yes cable(or should I say dish) rates for major channels is set by capacity. I know we had to pay $2500 for espn's networks last year. But once we pay the proper cable bill (alot of bars pretend to be a regular house to avoid the much bigger bill), we have paid the right to show the game and charge whatever we want.

But I really don't know how something on FREE TV will cause many issues with copyright problems. Unless CP adds their own ad's or edits the coverage. I've been to many super bowl parties that include a cover charge, and believe me they advertise watch the game here!

Sorry....was in a hurry when I was typing.

Try again!

It's a really good idea. During the summer months, why not show MLB games? Like clone said, we're not going to CP to watch a game, we're there for the rides. The game is a bonus. Carlito would say that's cool. All I have to say is GO HAWKEYES!

First good idea CP has had in a long time..

What a cool idea!

They should show some Tigers games! But still this is a good idea.

Let's Get Weird.

Even if the OSU/UM game were earlier in the season, I can't imagine CP taking a chance of showing it due to the intense rivalry. Heck, whenever I head to Columbus for a convention, I'm very careful to remove my parking sticker from my car window so my car doesn't get vandalized.

^ - only in Columbus would you have to worry about that.

This is cool. Is this the first time Cedar Point has ever shown public television sports on the screen? Either way I have to try and make to Cedar Point this day, so I can watch the action part of the day, and the other part, having fun riding the coasters.

Based on the way the second article is written, I would say yes, it's a first.

Lovely weather for watching the Bucks outside. If I was going, I would grab a seat at Daves or TGI Fridays.

GO BUCKS!

Ohhh god. This is absolute crap. I thought Cedar Point was the one place in Ohio devoid of overwhelming Ohio State ugly-ness. This makes me sick. This is a disgrace to Cedar Point, and the Cedar Fair company as a whole.

Then again, if Iowa pulls off the upset, then this will be Cedar Point's best decision EVER.

In all seriousness though, since Cedar Point also gets alot of MICHIGAN people, shouldn't they appease to them and show a Michigan night game? In two weeks against Penn State would be perfect.

Hail to the Victors

. . . And there goes the thread. ;)
