The new location is awesome. We'll be able to pin point if its busy or slow on some days. I'd be a little nervous standing on that platform from 370 feet. Other than that though I think it's great that they put it back up there again. The spot I was thinking they would've put it would have been on top of Space Spiral. This is a much better location! Good Job Cedar Point!
There are probably free ways to do it, but I use this.

I think I'm over the new webcam already. Its too far to away to see anything I feel like I'm looking at www.local.live.com. Other than the sun changing positions I don't think I'd even notice if it stopped updating.... Talk about never being satisfied Huh?
I still like it. I have it set as my Active Desktop.

^^^ & ^^^^^ And exactly how different is the Goodtime cam from the Dragster cam and every theme/amusement park cam? They all do the same thing, show an otherwise straight forward constant view. What are they suppose to do that will visually satisfy you? Dance and sing show tunes?

Ha you both are absolutely right (although it would be nice if it would do my laundry and make me a cup of coffee). I have a compulsion after Mav was built to constantly check the webcams, I guess I just got pissed cause I went to cp.com and nothing had changed again. So I suppose this is a perfectly fine location as there isn't much new goin on.
For awhile Mav was really interesting to watch: footers, supports, track, testing, roll removed, testing, water canons. Now there is nothing new going on. Basically it comes down to I should be doing work and not checking CPs webcams :)
You can still watch the Dragster Cam Here. It doesn't automatically refresh but it still has an image.

In other news, we've diagnosed our DragsterCam issue (you may havenoticed we took it offline). Turns out it decided it didn't want to situpright in its all-weather case, so we're bringing in reinforcements tokeep it horizontal. It will be down for a few days.
We're still trying to connect our third camera.
Only a few of the cams in recent times have faced forward. Previously, the midway cam was on the front skyride station facing back. The last construction cam was facing planet snoopy, there was the maverick cam, and the frontier cam which was mounted on snake river falls. There are others but that's all I could think of off the top of my head.
