RnR has a cobra roll (which might count as 2 inversions) and 1 corckskrew. i am also a huge fan of that ride, its just to short.
but anywho,
i was actually surprised to see this inversion go up, but i am excited for it. i don't think there will be many more though.
I'm actually very surprised that this ride has an inversion. I think one or two inversions will be it, I highly doubt this ride is a multi-looper in the conventional sense. I'm still thinking AquaTrax, now with a new twist.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
RnR has 3 inversions.

I wouldn't compare anything to Disney. Don't they have the highest fatality rates among amusement park rides?
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
Compare their yearly attendance to all other parks though. That, and they've had a string of really bad luck lately with all of the problems with people with medical complications riding Mission: Space. But moving back to CP...
I really don't think this is an Aquatrax anymore, but I also don't think there will be more than 8 inversions, more than likely not even 6.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Yeah I wouldn't count people dying of medical conditions as a fatality on their ride. If the thing crashed, then sure. I think Disney is REALLY safe. Their rides are made for the entire family.
That track just zigzags and twists everywhere. Talk about "whole new direction." You don't know what direction you're going to go in. It's sweet already....
halltd- But how many people with medical conditions get on CP's rides who aren't supposed to? It's probably about the same. Maybe the people who check their rides just don't check them good enough. (here we go)

Awe, damn.
I thought about that after I posted: aren't there more older people who go to Disney? I've never been, but all I keep relating it to is Golden Girls- when the old lady keeps wanting to go to Disney!
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
It's like this Leslie - How many people go to Disney over the course of the year?
How many people go to Cedar Point every season?
The Disney number is far greater than the CP number, therefore the injuries and fatalities comparison really isn't valid because, for the number of visitors Disney has annually, their incident rate is really low.
OH, that's a good way of putting it. I forgot that they're an all-year 'round place. I'm so used to Cedar Point that I don't relate other parks to not being seasonal. I just think of them all as closed for the winter.
I've got to go to more parks than Cedar Point!

That and CP has a very good track record. The last inncodent resulting in death was on Wildcat. But that wasn't due to ride being broken, but rider error.
Sorry to get of subject im new and i was just wondering how packed cedar point gets on halloweekends we plan on going the first weekend sept 22&23 and was wondering if anyone has an idea on how packed it is?

No ones ever died from ride malfunction EVER at CP.
Favorite Coasters 1.MF 2. TTD 3. Raptor 4. Gemini 5. Magnum
Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.
Yeah, I went the last day of Halloweekends & it was crazy. It's fun, though. Dress warm for the evenings & rides nearest to the water! We're going on the 9th of September.
EDIT: The one formerly known as: What happened on the Wildcat & when? I love that little ride & the line is always long.

A girl with a prior heart condition while riding died from the condition.
Actually, she was at the park with some friends, when her doctor called her mother at home with the results of some medical tests. When her mother told the doctor where she was, he said that she absolutely shouldn't be riding any rides. By the time her mother could contact that park, it was too late.
EDIT: I don't know about the one "the one formerly known as" is referring to, but that's the one I know of.

That's really messed up. I think that's where a lot of the incidents stem from anyhow: people who aren't aware that they have specific medical conditions that don't allow them to get on these rides.

Thats what I've been thinking since day one. The turns, hills, now even this inversion don't seem to have traditional long gracefull parabolic flows of a Intamin Looper. At the very least it doens't seem like a long train will navigate through there well as the speed differences between front/middle and back will be great. Still it could be anything really, even a Intamin Looper with a long train ;).
