construction on the coaster is on the CP webcam once again. Witch means the first inversion is done. How many inversions could this coaster have. I think we are looking at a looping record breaker.
please please please give us a play by play of whats on the webcam. Dont move from your computer, please....
;)
I wouldn't count on double-digit inversions, Thriller. It took CP 11 years to give us ANY inversions since Mantis. I'm guessing like 5ish.

OMG!! I just looked at the webcam and there's a roof on the building!!!
I would have never guessed there would be a roof on that building...can you believe it???

I wouldn't count on a plethora of inversions either. Kinzel himself is quoted as saying they're gimmicks in his opinion. (paraphrasing, of course)
Inversions for the sake of a record are gimmicks. Inversions that are a part of the ride experience (take Raptor as an excellent example) are more than just gimmicks though.
Goodbye MrScott

Of course, Jugga. Its obvious that inversions aren't out of the question - Mantis, Raptor and Maverick are proof of that. But, as you said, simply adding inversions for the sake of some stupid record is a recipe for a crappy ride.
Ok, here's some directions.
Type "www.cedarpoint.com" into your address bar.
Hover over "Online Fun" in the menu on the left. After the menu pops up, click on "Web Cams"
You can then click on any web cam to bring up the viewer and switch between them.
Its not hard to find without a direct link.

Inversions for the sake of the record? nope. Cedar point doesn't roll like that. if they break a record, they make sure that it is a good quality ride. If it doesn't run into a record then that's fine with me. Going upside down to many times can make me ill. I think were in for a surprise.

Actually, its not even that hard anymore, theres a webcam link on the homepage of Cedarpoint.com now, so you don't have to go through online fun :)

Oooh! A thread for the track that follows the first completed inversion! Sweet ;) And I'm not trying to be crappy, but I don't see how one completed corkscrew gives you an impression that we have a "looping breaking record" coaster on our hands?
And another thing I don't get, is the people in the other threads already saying they are disappointed with the ride. Could they finish it before you moan and groan?
I can't wait to see this thing in person in about 16 days when I go :)

I really enjoy Rock-n-Rollercoaster at WDW and I believe there is only one inversion on that ride.
