New Slack Policies

SCarolina01 is the ATL...I think he would know if the rule has indeed been changed or not...just a guess though.

Last public train of 2005 on MF!

Hopefully there is an accurate rule to this. On opening day when i was in line for the front seat 3 people were unable to meet the one inch requirement and seemed very disappointed and one man cursed the rid op.

Millennium Force is the greatest coaster in the world

I really hope its true. I hate watching my favorite coaster's capacity plummet. She deserves so much better! ;)

Yes....No offense MF Man, but I think the ATL of Millennium Force is a pretty credible source of information regarding the status of the coaster.

Coaster Count: 147

Ok, then WHY would a higher up tell me or others a differant story?? Don't you think they should know what the hell is going on or what?? Oh btw, does the staff on MF know what a 1/2 inch is?? Because on opening day, the staff member was putting on 1 1/2 inch slack on the belt and I was one of the people on opening day cursing out the staff.

MF_Man, if the ATL of MF says that the slack policy has been changed, then it has been changed. I would think that a person who works on the ride, would know whether or not the policy has been changed.

I understand that, but why would a ALT know more then the Higher Ups?? Wouldn't they know first then a ALT?? Just a few questions thats all. 1/2 inch slack is great, now we are getting somewheres.

If the girl you asked was a higher up in a different department at the park, she may not know. Whatever happens in park operations doesn't affect what happens in say foods, or games so they wouldn't need to know about the change.

Maybe because the ATL works on MF. The person that you speak of that is "higher up", doesn't work on MF, so they doesn't need to know about changes on the ride.

Like I said, next time you are at the park look at the sign above the test seat. If you still want to argue that the policy hasn't changed, go for it, but I can tell you that you won't have much of a case.

Millennium Force Crew '05 -- The only ride in the park better than the Bronze Griffin

Ok guys, I'm not here to start fights and whatnot. All I did was call and was told that it wasn't change. If it sounded like I made a big uproar about it, I'm sorry. I have been on this site for almost 2 yrs now. I have seen posts that are jokes to right down BS to get other hopes up and when the people read the post(s) and they get down to CP just to find out that the post(s) are wrong. All of you guys and girls are great on here, keeping people up to date on here on whats going on. I just want to keep it real thats all. So like I said before I'm sorry if you guys think I'm trying to start a fight, I'm not. All I can do is read whats on here, call to see if its true or not and write back on here. The lady I talked to is Jen, she is in Development Park Operations. She is the one who told me that Intamin never gave permission to change the slack policies. But I did call once again today and talked to Steve, he did tell me that it did change on both MF and TTD. So yes I am very glad this did happen, maybe no more upset fans.

No matter what, the slack rule is a load of crap.

THE FOLLOWING IS SPECULATION--- take it for what it's worth.

You all can bet your buttons that if this policy has been "reversed" to only 1/2 inch slack that it's on it's only a matter of a short time before there won't be any slack requirement. (which is where it should be in the first place)

If it's only speculation, why can we bet our buttons? Apparently it wouldn't be much of a guaranteed bet if its only speculation.

Goodbye MrScott

John

Here is a thought, "Higher ups", never know what the hell is going on. Anyone who has a boss knows that.

First trip June 23rd

Grady, if what you say is true, Dick Kinzel has no clue as to "what is going on".

Care to reword that a bit?

MrScott

Mayor, Lighthouse Point

No, I wouldn't.

First trip June 23rd

Did you just get fired or something, MrGrady? I have always worked for someone else in my 43 years on this planet. Many "higher ups" know exactly what is going on. That's why they are higher up.

You take off after "higher ups" and "bosses" in your post. And then imply Mr. Kinzel doesn't know what's going on. Just why is that, MrGrady?

Back on topic: I'm glad the ride restrictions seem to be returning to what they were on MF. Just a little 2 or 3 year "bend in the road".

It is totally true that it is only 1/2 inch of slack now. It is on the sign right above the test seat if you were to go ride the ride. If you don't believe it then you can go look for yourself.

However, Dragster is still 1 inch of slack.

Uh... if someone happens to see that sign and they just happen to have a camera at the moment, could someone please take a picture? Not that I do not believe you guys, I just don't want to get too excited before I go to CP on the 27th.

So... yeah, just a pic, all I ask.
