New ride... place your bets!

Jeff has already told us it will be taller and faster than any of its kind. So, it will be the world's tallest and fastest ______ coaster!

AS JEFF STATED, THERE IS NO FIRM DATE! NO ONE KNOWS, NOT EVEN CEDAR FAIR!

"Thank you for your interest in Cedar Point. Look for an announcement
discussing our 2002 capital plans sometime this fall. It should be released
later this month or in early November. Please let me know if you have
any other questions."

sheesh! if that doesn't settle it, then I don't know what will....

Have we hit 88 MPH yet?

Hey all................how bout giving your mind a spin on this one? Jeff dropped a hint "with a twist".............now  we can take this alot of ways. on the vekoma site.......in the news(old) the twisting coaster at six flags..............the caption says " with a twist" in there. or you could take it as something that twists (barrel roll).....so for the fact that i have no clue in the world what it is that's my best geuss for you all.....

A thought........ that new supposed B&M patent last year (at CB, started by Jeff....       http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forums/thread.asp?ForumID=11&TopicID=14777). MAYBE that could be the new ride, but doubtful.  It does add to an excisting ride, well.......... you know about X anyway.  It could be the "twist" or something of this ride pertaining to that.

No, but intriguing nonetheless.

For anyone interested in   "Hammerhead Stall" coaster. It was confirmed last week that Fantasy Island theme park here in UK is getting a first 200ft "Hammerhead Stall" for next season! :) along with the worlds highest inverted (270ft) in same park.

Ref...    http://www.ttdb.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3bcdff382bb6ffff;act=ST;f=5;t=4

That with worlds first B+M Flying coaster, and worlds first 10 inversion coaster. All looks a good year for us over here. which is pretty rare, as we seem to have years like next with few good new rides, then 2-3 years with nothing new. Oh well next seasons gunna rock over here. 4 world firsts coasters.. :) :)

Still personally cant wait to get back there to CP again though. :) Gunna be over for at least a week next time guys. :)

Drinks on me next year. Honest.

MF Reaction::: F*****G Excellent.

MF total - 476 laps
VertiGo Launches - 79
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100

My guess, since its going to have a "twist."  A dueling impulse coaster which twists will interlock each other so they look the double helix of a DNA strand.  Thats just my opinion though.

Hmmm.... that phrase sounds strangely familiar over the last 1 or 2 decades...  ;)

LOL!!
MF breaks 88!  Mabyee that's why the 2.5 min on the ride seems so much faster than 2.5 min does in the line

Based on a capacity of 1200 PPH (34 trains an hour) and an estimate of 1 person using 3 feet of space in the queue line, Millennium Forces line moves apx. 0.68 MPH.

So CP will have to steal some plutonium or buy a food processor to power this beast? (sorry, had to drag it on)
You people need to stop fluxing your capacitors and chill until the announcement is made.
I have a Krupps coffie maker in the basement (it IS the prop they used for Mr. Fusion on the movies.. hehe)

But don't hook up to the amplifier... it has the posibility of overloading. Does this mean the name of the ride will be Time Warp?

What, did Cedar Fair forget? Of course they know. There is a date, but there is no point in arguing this point here. But it's not like I give a rat's --- if any of you know the date anyway.

Jeff, I definitely heard a date, whether it is the 30 or 31 of October, I don't remember. Heck, maybe you're right, but I know I heard a date. I'll ask again.

For the sake of ending this disagreement, I'll accept what you posted earlier. It's a myth. I guess all that matters is that the announcement is not far off.
