I don't think the question is more parking as much as it replacing parking with attractions.
Edit: Tim beat me to it... :)
As for exiting the park. I don't think that Cedar Poin't problem with traffic is getting them out of the lot. I think the problem is that everyone is funneled down, and most people remain on the same track until at least Cleveland Road. With Universal, while you still have everyone pouring out of a couple of parking garages, after they get out, the crowd disperses pretty quickly.

Absolutely, Why not make a great thing even greater. I would have loved to see the addition of Maverick this year without the removal of White Water Landing. Those are the issues that will continue to happen. Landmark rides a lot of us grew up riding at CP will keep going bye bye. I would love for them to figure out a way to add an additional midway. Simply so they wont even have to consider the removal of any more classic rides.
R.I.P. MrScott... You're greatly missed!!
You missed the part about taking out some parking area and putting up a multi-level garage. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

You wont see a garage at CP in the near future. A parking garage can cost $10,000 to $15,000+ a spot. Thats building it on land that is much more stable than what CP has.
Now starts the "Parking garage is sinking" rumor before it is even built.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?
I've been hearing these "CP is out of room, they are building a parking lot" rumors since 1980 at least!
I predict you would see a lot of non essential areas moved off the point before the parking lot is. The whole area behind Corkscrew could be moved off point, the dorms behind Wildcat could go, the entire area behind the main games area are just a few things that come to mind.

^ Not to say alot of those things could not be removed, but some of those buildings are storage for frequently used items. It would become a bit of a logistical hassel for CP.
A parking garage at the begining of the causeway is an interesting idea and would provide acres of useable space, but is it worth the cost of the structure as well as the transportation (whatever it may be) to the main gates?
^Anything that can be stored on-point can be stored off point, even if they use something frequently. For example all the crap in/under Disaster Transport, The Bone yard, the merch warehouse, the landscaping and carpenters storage area, linens, park services warehouse, etc, etc, etc. There is little that needs to be kept on point. Not to mention they could consolidate some of the offices on point, and move the rest off point. Heck, even Human Resources could be move off point.
Commenting on the parking garage though, I have thought that a long narrow garage that ran from the toll booths along the bayside marina (the overflow lot) all the way to Blue Streak would seem like all the room they would need for one. Depending on how many levels it would be. You could still expand the park tremendously and keep a buffer zone between the few houses that run along the lot now and the park.
