So, what in this photo (if anything) will be different next Summer?http://s172.photobucket.com/user/topthrill83/media/frontofCP.jpg.html
If you look at the upper right corner of that picture you will see exactly what will look different next summer. ;)
Nick
based on that picture.. which is a really good image to go off of..
Assuming there will be changes in the area...
You can come up with a few conclusion... all of them are actually improbible however..
1. They can move or take out perimeter road (wont happen.. maybe a move to encroach on the adjacent parking lot is possible but not likely) and buil the new midway around blue streak.
2. The ne ride can go OVER the base of Raptors lift hill and station
3. somehow squeeze through the almost zero clearance between Raptor and blue streak
4. 2 completely sperate attractions that are not bridged at all. (most likely)
There is little chance of an attraction starting near Blue Streak and crossing over to the current Point Pavilion site. Anyone who views those pictures and thinks that's a possibility has serious spatial awareness issues.
Let's be logical for a moment.
The chain has recently built Harmony Hall at Carowinds. This is possible for the replacement of Point Pavilion. I would welcome the addition. Variety of food, served in a fun, entertainment driven atmosphere. Almost all of the point's quick service food locations are highly inefficient and most are from the 50's-60's.
Great America is building a modern, efficient event/catering center to serve as a pre game party house before 49ers games, and can be rented for special events. This is another highly likely scenario.
I know it's fun to speculate- but can we at least make reasonable predictions?

So Tony replied to a tweet this"Not yeT." to someone who asked if he can tell the announcement or the announcement to the date of the announcement."
That was me, wondering when someone would say something about it
Jason McClure already stated that CP will introduce some type of a thrill. Talking about a ride, IMO, is more of a reasonable prediction than an updated pavilion center--though I think that would could highly plausible and a good idea. I would like to see a new pavilion AND a new flat (or some type of ride/ small coaster)-- or is that what you meant?

You must be new here. ;)
Every time they've moved the live cams, that has been a clue. Literally every word out of Tony's mouth is a multidimensional cryptic clue not just about next year, but about the next five years. There are ten clues in every pixel of every photo posted by Tony or Jason. Ever. Even going back to before either worked for the park. Tony's high school senior yearbook picture is certainly no exception, nor are Jason's 1st birthday party pictures.
You just have to put it all together. That's the tricky part.
Brandon
^ Everything is a clue. Even stating something is not a clue, must be a clue. Even posting a picture of every available rumor is a clue. ;)
Someone just go waterboard the Llamas till they talk..
Corkscrew, Power Tower, Magnum, & Monster/ Witches Wheel Crew 2011

When did Tony say that the live webcams are a clue?
I remember when they set them up this year, CP stated on one of their social networks to check back on them because there would always be a different view...how is that a clue? Or did I miss something?
The scene: the year 1880.
The Cajun backwoods of French Louisiana. New settlers (pirates) arrive on shore to claim their territory. But wait, against popular belief, they are not the first ones to arrive. Sounds stir in the night. Shadows fly by. What are those sights that defy our eyes? The French describe them as the Rougarou (a kind of werewolf) in the Cajun folklore. We'll have to hurry up, board our coaches and take a dark ride into the unknown wilderness, to shoot and rid the land of these beasts. This is not for the squeamish, better leave the kids behind.
Sounds interesting doesn't it? haha! I'd wait in line a 1/2 hour for something like that.
All kidding aside, Sat 8/16 would be a good announcement date...c'mon guys, this yearly anticipation kills us!!!
So I know I am new here, but I was looking at the THANKS FOR THE FUN post, and the "AquaTrax!111!!$1880!)!!?" is right after the water picture, yet right before the mean streak picture.
So I was thinking just like all of you, 1880 must mean something, and maybe that is a clue to both pictures...well...1880 + 111 = 1991. And 1991 is the year the Mean Streak opened. Not sure what, or if this means anything, but thought I would put it out there...
Also, this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLSjGtqcoAk :D
Also want to point out 2014-1991 = 23 which is lebron james number
^^^ Tony never said anything was a clue. However, everything Tony says, no matter how irrelevant to 2015, is being misconstrued as some vague hint for 2015. The same thing with Jason on occasion, as well..

It only affects you by choice.
I can guarantee you two things:
1 - They will announce their plans for 2015 before the end of the calendar year.
2 - Being among the first 10, or even 500 people to know will not garner you any awards, accolades, or medals.
Go outside and enjoy the nice weather while it's still here.
Brandon
There is precedent for them waiting until the same year to announce a new attraction.. However, I would have to agree that it is highly unlikely. The only time I know of was Top Thrill Dragster and that was likely due to the secrecy of the project.
