... 1590. Maybe that is the date when the first coaster or attraction opened at Cedar Point, back when it was more of a bath house/ beach resort?
The first commercial business opened on the peninsula in 1870. A lighthouse had been built on the tip of the peninsula in 1839 (which was replaced in 1862 with the lighthouse around which Lighthouse Point was built). Beyond that, only small temporary structures were built by folks hunting and fishing on the peninsula.
The first coaster was indeed 1892's Switchback Railway, followed ten years later by the Figure-Eight Roller Toboggan.
^Thank you for clarifying that. Obviously I am too lazy to read my Cedar Point: Queen of American Watering Places book.;)
With that said, I think it could be either the length of track, a false lead, or if it has something to do with Pirate Ride; Freedomland. I know or a fact that Cedar Point purchased the Earthquake and Pirate Ride from Freedomland, a park that would soon shut down. I will research that park to see if 1880 has anything to do with it. Probably not, but we'll see.
Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold On!...Arms Down!...Arms Down......
^ First off, 1880 has nothing to do with Freedomland.
Second, what makes you say that about Sky Ride?

I just went to the park today and i saw some construction going on in the center of mean streak. Is this where a haunt is or where they prepare? Because I saw a lot of wood and tractors and such.
The Mean Streak infield is used by maintenance for storage and other purposes. You'll see lots of stuff there but none of it is construction of a new attraction.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Sky Ride. #2016
Okay... Next year is 2015. Sky Ride barely takes up any space for another attraction, and you refuse to share where you maintained this rumor from. Right now I can feel the trolls in the air...
Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold On!...Arms Down!...Arms Down......
They have plenty of space for more rides by BS and Raptor, they are going underground! It's the ultimate dark ride. That could explain the water main issue earlier this year. It wasn't an old pipe failing, someone hit it during excavation.
Please note: This entire post is dripping with smart aleck.
I know this was mentioned somewhere before, either on this thread or another speculation thread, but a while back Tony tweeted, "Anyone want to ride Magnum Force?" and I just discovered that there was a ride in England named Magnum Force.

Get this, it's a Schwarzkopf that currently operates in Mexico. Relocation to Sandusky anyone? ;)
Loving Maverick since 2007!

Okay i think i might have missed something. Whats 1880?
A number
edit - that ceased being funny the moment I posted it. I missed the origin of that number as it relates to this thread. I'm guessing Tony tweet something with 1880.
I must've missed it too. I wondered where 1880 came from myself.

Eat 'em up, Tigers, eat 'em up!
Anyone think that the third live video cam could be a construction cam of some sort. Tony mentioned it a long time ago, and it has still not been put up yet?
Also the last time I visited Cedar Point(Campout), we talked to the workers on TTD and they said Mean Streak is going to be named King James, they were certain but idk if we can 100 percent trust them haha.
Lastly. Tony's tweet about a verrrrry hard assignment, couldnt it also represent a werewolf/rougarou like a howl or growl?
I was just looking on twitter and the tweet Jason tweeted about the two girls cleaning the windows. Notice how in the reflection it shows the point pavilion area which is also the speculated new ride area?
Also, the most recent pointcast is all about the frontier trail. Perhaps a way of saying more things will soon be going there. Also Tony mentions that the frontier trail is home to water rides such as shoot the rapids, and thunder canyon, but does not mention snake river falls. Now why leave out one ride, could it be saying that snake river falls will be removed? Whenever I go to CP I almost never see a line for SRF and that area does need a new ride and fits perfect with the swampy rougarou theme.
1880 was posted on the CP Blog. Go to the website under online fun. Its the first item called "thanks for the fun". It is in a caption. Which brings me to my thoughts on whats new for next year. Caveat: These are only my thoughts!
If you look at all of the things pictured under "thanks for the fun", I think all of these things are going to be removed or changed. I see this as more of a 5 year plan though. Everyone knows a major change is coming, I just think all of them are coming within the next 5 years.
I think the question is which one of, or several of these are coming for 2015? What happens will determine when our next trip to Sandusky is! Bring it! Thoughts anyone?

Snake River Falls is located in Frontier Town, not the Frontier Trail.
Looking at Tony's "Thanks for the Fun" post again something seems fishy. Maybe the "111" and "1880" is track height and length. And does "wait a century" mean anything? A clue to Centurion? Is the "Lemon Chill Guy" supposed to be something, or just a meaningless joke? And the last few words in the post, "just maybe, don't trust mi?" Why did he spell it that way?!
Cedar Point.
Definitely not better than Millennium.
