I don't go to SC either because I don't like waterparks, so the separate admission is still irrelevant in that regard.

Hahaha, the snow cone stand is great! Apparently I'm quite excited about today because I dreamed about CP all night, including MS tear down, and more water park, even though I don't actually think any of those things are happening. I'm so ready for this; bring on the announcement!!

It wasn't random paint... They were marking the location of underground utilities with sizes, type, and depths. The paths matched up with meter and disconnect locations as well. There was also what appeared to be recent underground utility repair in that area. To say that Cedar Point would incur costs such as this just to mess with people online is ridiculous.

Agreed. If it's legitimate marking, then no it doesn't make much sense to incur that cost just to mess with people. My thought was more that you don't need professional surveyors to put some random paint marks on the ground just to mess with people.

Well since people are making their predictions, I'll put in my 2 cents... This is probably way off, but for some reason I have a feeling Mantis will be floorless next season. Thankfully this nonsense will be put to rest in less than an hour.

Snow Cone and Soak City have the same abbreviations.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Almost certainly not, because they'd lose all that admission revenue. And anecdotally, the park is often quite busy, weather-permitting.

Wondering how much of their guests are Platinum Pass holders, resort guests with all-inclusive access etc... i.e. how much admission revenue they really see on a daily basis.

Remember back in July Tony posted that photo of a bundle of wood.. what if they really are building that infamous pier?

That would be pretty major

A pier would be really cool... I would dig that if done right!

I don't know why everyone thinks today's announcement is about 2015- I haven't seen a post tagged #CP2015 and actually Cedar Point just tagged their latest post #CP2014

True, something fishy going on...

I had heard MiA was getting a new water slide package like the ones at Carowinds, but I haven't heard anything more about that, so it's probably not happening next year.
Also, I just thought what if this announcement is just about the King James rename...I'm going to be so disappointed.

The New for 2014 forum has been removed from the site. I would think that it will be replaced with a forum that's relevant to 2015. I don't know if Walt and Jeff know what's coming, but they must be hopeful that the 2015 announcement is happening in just a few minutes.

I saw a picture that made me think that the wood was used for Halloweekends...but a pier would be interesting.
