Shawn, here is a picture from this morning. That should help.

Question. I'm looking for the link that Cedar Point posted about Millennium Force walk-ups starting May 11th. Does anyone know anything about that link? By the way, Thank you Aaron for the morning picture. ;)

And this would be a walk back, not a walk up.

Busch Gardens has offered coaster tours that includes an actual walk up the lift to the top for the experience and photo opportunities.

After seeing that 10 second POV portion of the video in the link posted above, it looks to me like the ride spins pretty quickly compared to when watching from on off ride perspective.

Anyone ever been on something like this anywhere else? How intense is the spinning?

I do not do so well on spinning rides, they make me sick. I can do wicked twister and all of the twisting and looping of the coasters, and even Windseeker. But I can't do Maxair or something like the Scrambler.

I would like to give Pipe Scream a try, but I wouldn't want to ruin an entire day there if I went on it and got sick.

^ If you don't get sick on Maxair and Scrambler then you should be good on Pipe Scream.

Also, I'm liking the new colors of the arms on Monster. It will be interesting to see the color of the cars and if it gets a lighting package.

Does anyone know if they have started vertical construction on the SlingShot? The site says it won't open till June. I'm just holding out on new lights for Gemini.

There will be a new lighting package on Monster, but I'd be surprised if Gemini had anything done to it. Though it would be pretty awesome if it did.

Brandon

Does Gemini have spot lights or anything? I don't remember. I think that would be a nice touch.

Not only awesome, but respectful. Few people (outside websites like these) realize that at one time Gemini was the tallest, fastest, steepest rolly-coaster in our solar system. Plus it is the "Gemini Midway" right? Give her some love.

Not only that, but I heard a rumor that Gemini is a personal favorite of a certain new General Manager...

All that said, not getting my hopes up either. I'm holding out hope that the string-bulb lighting that criss-crosses the midway in the renderings makes it to reality. I love the atmosphere that something as simple as that creates. I have a few sets for our backyard that I string across some big trees in our backyard in the summer when we have guests over...or when we're just playing. Lovely.

I see those poles erected on the sides...perfect place to hang them!

Promoter of fog.

With the string lights criss-crossing the midway, is the parade route changing, or is there no longer going to be a Halloweekends parade.

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

The poles look tall enough that the floats in the parade can fit underneath the string lighting.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Anyone else curious about the 2 different color of cement around the edges of the Midway?

I think it's just decoration.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

Teaser string lights on cam this eve, complete with missing bulbs.

GONE FOR 2014:

Donut Time (replaced by an overpriced chain that sells undrinkable burnt water)

Yep and Game Day Grille also went Bye-Bye

You should have invented that overpriced burnt water. So undrinkable that everyone on earth seems to need and want it.

KI has had theirs for a couple/three years now and it does just fine. Always busy. Even Disney is putting them in now.

I would love to know how many of you actually craved Donut Time. Not because it was the only "breakfast" option at the front of the park, but because you really enjoyed the food and coffee.
