Philips Hue bulbs are very cool, don't have any of those though. I have some 2700k Philips LED floods, the rest are Cree 2700k LED bulbs.

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
This is off-topic and I apologize if it's been brought up already. I know I'm annoying. Anyway Is there a sign up link somewhere for the May 8th media day at Cedar Point yet? Just curious.
You are annoying, yes. Don't you think there would be a topic on that if there was some generally announced date?

I didn't think about Gemini, that's a good point. Gets some nice floodlights, spruce up the station, and put a tunnel on the last turnaround (behind Witches Wheel before the final straight away to the helix).
And jeez Jeff, why don't you just banish him to the pit of despair and eternal suffering (aka marathon on Mean Streak).
The station on Gemini was just recently painted in the last few years but could use a bit more improvement. The tunnel idea isn't bad but I think it would be hard to make it look appealing unless there was some type of custom painted Gemini logo (maybe like a graffiti look) and as for the flood lighting. I enjoy Gemini at night because it is dark, it would be an improvement in visual appeal but I wouldn't want it to have a huge change to the on ride. I think maybe red white and blue led floodlights would be cool.
Thank you cpfourlife1 for having my back. ;) Also to the Real Maverick, I think that's a great idea with with the Idea of adding to Gemini. For those that might be Intimidated by Maverick, this would work! The station does feel like it's crowded all the time because the way it's set-up so that is something they should improve on the busy days as well. Maybe have a ride attendant like they do for Magnum and Millennium Force.
I always thought Gemini would look pretty painted a nice sparkling white, with one blue track and the other red, of course.
The (expensive) maintenance issue of keeping it sparkling would arise, of course, but I get tired of seeing huge brown, natural wood coasters. There's only a few settings, from the aesthetic point of view, where I think that actually works. Like Dollywood, for instance- a natural coaster fits there in terms of theming and terrain.
Blue Streak, back in the day, was always kept natural. I was tickled to death when they painted it those great shades of blue. It looks a lot more amusement-parky to me. I'm trying to come up with examples of any other wood coasters that are blue, and can't think of any off hand.
I used to think Gemini would look good painted white, but then keeping it that color would be a problem. In just a few years, it will start to peel. I think most wooden coasters are not painted for inspection purposes. Wooden ladders are not supposed to be painted so the person using it can check for any cracks or splits in the wood.
It used to be difficult to find a wooden coaster that wasnt painted white, and there are plenty of white coasters out there to this day that aren't running inspection free. Been to Kings Island?
I don't know if it's my computer screen but I'm not digging the darkest red on the Monster new paint. It looks like a dark magenta which means more pink.
I wish they'd paint over Gemini's lavender around the station.

It's odd seeing an old ride I worked that I figured would never get any love and probably eventually get removed and scrapped is actually getting a fair bit of TLC this season. Very impressed...
CF seems to be giving old classic great rides the love they truly deserve, such as Top Gun/Flight Deck/Personality Disorder down at KI

Not saying it's impossible, just more difficult to inspect the wooden structure.
In the process of convincing my friend to buy a platinum pass instead of a regular season pass, I saw on the website "New for 2014 - Unlimited access to Dinosaurs Alive!" for platinum pass holders. Not that this is such a big deal, but its one less thing for some people to complain about, assuming its true
That will be nice, if for no other reason than you can get up close and personal with MF and watch it go by. The day we paid the five bucks to get over there MF was down and we never saw a single train. There was lots of rubber dinosaurs though.
It appears to be all of the parks. Not just Cedar Point. It's also included in the Gold Passes at the parks who offer those.

I wander how that's going to work. Before you enter Dinosaurs Alive, you have to Insert $5.00. Does anybody think they'll have a season pass swipe machine next to that so you can just enter?
Probably just show it to the person you give your ticket to. I'm sure they'll have signs that will instruct passholders on what to do.
