New for 2014

I see it. I'm not sure why, but I though the layout for Pipe Scream was one straight shot back and fourth? Why is curving towards Wilderness run?

Not sure what you're looking at there, but it's a straight run like all the rest of em. Those cams are kinda fish eye. I believe the far end point is that black square in the snow toward the snoopy bouncy house. There is no track yet, and the station foundation's been there for a while.

Your right RCMAC. Maybe I was looking at Wilderness run. Oh well! In another note, I don't see how construction crews are going to be able to get these rides ready by opening day If the weather keeps constantly snowing! :(

Yeah, by now I would have thought we would see the actual ride on the webcam. It looks like they are behind if they want to put 2(3?) rides in by May.

Which ride is Wilderness Run?

The old Jr. Gemini. Keep in mind that they said it'll only take like a couple days to assemble Pipe Scream and one day for Lake Erie Eagles.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

According to Cedar Point's Facebook page, the first parts for PipeScream have arrived in the Soak City parking lot.

Considering this isn't a Gatekeeper sized attraction, I'm more than confident that they'll have it done in time. There's no doubt weather has had some kind of effect on construction. But I don't think it's going to throw anything that far off schedule.

So it's about this time in the off-season that someone compiles a list of everything that is being done to Cedar Point.. I only know of the obvious one, gemini midway, and now lighthouse point. Is someone in the mood to put that list together for everyone to see? Thanks

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

^ Here's what I can think of off the top of my head...
Pipe Scream, Lake Erie Eagles, Slingshot ride, Lighthouse point expansion, Breakers Hotel exterior redo, Gemini midway repaving, Chickie's & Pete's along with new Coke Freestyle and Yogurt Plus additions,Cinnabon and Auntie Anne's being added to Challenge Park, Monster and Jr.Gemini paint redone along with the renaming to Wilderness run, Frog Hopper being moved to Camp Snoopy and renamed Snoopy's airmail. Fastlane + additions TTD and Maverick. New Live Entertainment shows (TBA), 50th,25th,and 20th anniversaries of Blue Streak,Magnum, and Raptor.....anyone else feel free to chime in...

New in park TV entertainment

Essentially it amounts to, summer long ride birthday parties, the shell game with ride refurbs - renames - and locations, lots of overdue maintenance (that shouldn't even be mentioned), even more overpriced food (and ways to upcharge), and a couple of lame flat rides.

The TV entertainment is likely to be the most innovative improvement of all the things announced, and we don't even know what that even constitutes yet.

Sorry, but I just can't get that excited about what's new for 2014.

Not surprised to see you distort things with negativity in your post.

CPfan1976 and TheRealMaverick gave a good explanation of what is new, if anyone else needs the scoop on 2014.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Even though my kids are too old now for this sort of thing, I'm kinda digging I can get into Dinosaurs Alive for free with the Platinum Pass. It will be nice to stroll the island while taking a break between coasters.

It's only overpriced if you can't afford it,

It's only unenjoyable if you don't enjoy it,

and it's only unexciting if you're not excitable...

Which doesn't surprise me that you are most excited about a TV this isn't in your mom's basement.

Our group always finds something 'NEW' for us to do whenever we go, which is several times a year. The place is huge and its great to discover different things to do there, other than wait in line for Millennium Force.

What does that mean exactly? What is "in park TV entertainment"?

Even being a teenager, I agree that this will be a nice break between rides, and offer views of Millennium that are new to me

Geauga Lake and more recently the former Paramount Parks (I.E. Kings Island) featured TV's placed in the Queues for coasters where they would play their own TV station that had facts about the park and ads. Cedar Fair recently hired new staff to create something of this nature. Specific details I don't have but I hope something interactive.

Ok, thank you.

I like the idea of having things to do/see while waiting in line. Does this mean they won't play music in the queues anymore? I assume they will have this channel playing when guests first arrive at the CP hotels.
