Kings Island had a website leak for their 2014 ride recently. Record breaking wing coaster called the bat. What I am trying to say is, there have been 2 leaks for major attractions in 2 years for a new attraction for Cedar Fair, keep an eye on CP website.
Dude...total hoax...it had pics photoshopped of gatekeeper, and gatekeeper as the rides layout, then pics of diamondback. It would be odd to have all the banshee references would be there, but then call it the bat...or else this is all a crazy game of constant diversions

Not to keep straying off topic, but were the Banshee clues just to keep a running joke going? Or to tell you to look at former names of rides?
They call me Sheehan.

That would be great if it was called The bat, as a nod to the older bat that was there before vortex. Speaking of vortex, how about they paint it for 2014?
As much as I'd appreciate a nod..PR wise, it's where SOB once stood, bad PR surrounding that ride already, and alot of people still think people died on the Bat, again bad PR surrounding that ride...
I think the banshee name will be used down here

That is FUNNY. Thanks for the laugh!!

If "The Bat" is a wing coaster and the stats listed on the leak were correct, I'm surprised Cedar Fair was so fast with taking the records away from Gatekeeper.
You'd be amazed, I hear it all the time while I'm at kings island...
Also, again, I doubt those specs are real

Isn't their a rule with CF to not have the same ride type within 100 miles of each other?
Also! I just got back to my camper from the park. I saw some green paint by Calypso, then I looked closer and saw Cheerios. CEDAR POINT IS MAKING A CHEERIOS THEAMED FIREBALL!!!
Leave the hypercoaster alone
There is absolutely no rule with CF about the same type of ride within 100 miles of each other.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
Guess that means no Gatekeeper at Wildwater Kingdom, huh? Kings Island is more than 100 miles from Cedar Point. Not to mention Windseeker and Maxair/Delirium.
This rule did effect CW prior to CF acquiring the park which made it impossible for CW to purchase and install a B&M Invert, which led to one of the reasons of them acquiring the B&M giga they did not too long ago.

Of course there isn't a rule, but that isn't the question! WindSeekers and Giant Frisbees are different.
Building a record breaking coaster at one place, then building the same model at a different park and taking all of the records except for a few just doesn't add up. Maybe if it was built at Knott's. But at Kings Island? Especially with the Kings Island/Cedar Point Combo Ticket deal.
Anyway, back on topic for 2014. I heard this from a worker at the Breakers which was then confirmed by both the Lemon Chill guy, a sweeper and one of the game attendants. It will be a Kiddie Hyper Launched Coaster/Dark Ride that features Snoopy, Reptar and Alex Rodriguez.
A long......long.......l o n g.......... story.
In short, it's a made up person that knows everything going on at the park. If there's a wild rumor, he's responsible for its fruition.

Anybody going down to Kings Island on Thursday for the announcement? I'll be there. Personally, I don't mind one way or the other what Kings Island builds that might be the same thing as Cedar Point. Either way whether it be a Winger or an Invert, it will still be fun!
Lemon Chill Guy started with this post 13 years ago by DBCahill (whose hiatus from PointBuzz has lasted way too long). The meme took off from there. The legend of LCG grew out of the former Guide to the Point site to become an established meme on several other amusement park and coaster websites.
If the introduction of "Lemon Chill Guy" to the amusement park industry hasn't earned Duane a spot in the IAAPA Hall of Fame, I'm not sure what else he can do. :)
