Its been a few days since I've been on Pointbuzz. I've showed up online but never posted. I'm curious and wonder if there is any action going on at Skyhawks site? Even if it's more concrete being poured someone let know.
" If weather cooperates, we should see the steel go up by the end of the week. We'll be covering it! " T&T.
That should tell you something! ;)

Today all the vehicles are parked by one of the footers. They must be having a meeting of some sort. It would be weird though for them to choose that little building for a meeting. They ought to go in the main arcade if they're going to do that.
Maybe they're like...building.

New construction photos up...
Take a close look at the compressor room, it has the same type of window as in CCMR's maintenence building. Also, the roof is galvanized steel like the maintence building. Starting to see a pattern here... ;) :)

I doubt that we'll see any steel erected at the end of this week on account of the bad weather that's lined up.

The compressor room looks like a storage garage in a way, does anybody think the same? When do the construction workers get their winter one or two week break? I think if they are slowed down by the weather this week, it could be after Christmas that we see Vertical Construction.

Most construction companies do not shut down for the holidays. They will undoubtley get Monday December 26th and Monday January 2nd off. But that may be all. I only know of one General Contractor local to cleveland that shuts down for a whole week and that's "The Darden Company"

project deadlines dictate most commercial construction companies business even with Darden if a project is behind they will work beyond the scope of there union contract. Most companies put charge-back clauses in there contract so if a job goes beyond the original planned completion the company actually gets backcharged back by the client, so its cheaper to pay overtime than pay the penalities which can be very steep some instances
Hi everybody, im a longtime big fanatic of the Point, which discovered totally by luck on the net way back in 1995. I finally made it for the first time with my dad on a end of season trip last year in 2004. We spent 3 AWESOME days...no crowds, bluebird sunny skies, no lines. Magnum and Raptor were walk ons...only 15 to 30 mins to Millie...45 for Dragster. Wow i had a blast and the wait was defenetively worth it. I have a question for you guys...what do ya think of Magic Mountain adding a 4 th B and M, a custom flyer, for 2006? Its their 17th at he park...seeing it that way makes the record for the most coasters at one park...In your mind does it removed the holy title of Cedar Point being the Rollercoaster Capital of The World? Not in mine but...still...im worried....
Has anyone noticed the legs are now near the foundation? Probably gonna raise them tommarrow?
Let's hope.

It looks to me like they are planning on hoisting one of the supports shortly. It's hooked up to a crane.
