New Department Name

Everyone has asked, so I thought I would let you know... Restrooms, Office Cleaners, and Sweeps... we have a name!!! Welcome to "Environmental Services".... and yes, since everyone will ask this next.. it is still part of Park Services ( Which is part of Park Op). So.. now you know. I won't be alone over there ... Susie Nagy will be joinging me. Great to have you Susie!!

Hey Jenn I don't know you but I'm gonna be the ATL of Zone 3 sweeps this year! I really look forward to working in....Environmental Services. Hehe we sound like a bunch of hippies. Now all we need are tie-dyed uniforms and big peace symbols on our name tags.

Hey Natalie.. we could wear bellbottoms and flower power tattoos on our cheeks too! Now that you mention the hippie thing I am getting some pretty crazy ideas.. and anyone who knows me can tell you that if I start getting crazy ideas it's time to be afraid... be very afraid :) Jason, I did your contract today ( I had it on hold.. trying to decide where to place you).. and Chris, Susie going to be one of the Head Supervisors in Enviromental Services ( equivelant to Food's Area Sups.. but the whole park instead of a zone). By the way, to all the sweeps.. I keep hearing all these crazy rumors about how these big, huge, changes are going to take place and everyone is worried... Don't panic... Mostly just rumors! There are not going to be huge changes.. I was a sweep too ( and I loved my zone!)

Where is Zone Thirtyfour? Well if you like to eat then you have most likely been there...take your pick: Burger Patio, Corral, Surrey, Imax Refreshments, Cold Drinks, Skyride Refreshments, Pretzel Gourmet, Coasters 50's Diner, Dragons Inn, the former Chicken BBQ, Candy Factory and all the wagons and vendors from Power Tower midway up to the giant screen and up the trail towards the water rides...basically it is the center (and what I personally consider to be the heart of CP Quick Service foods, although you don't have to take my word for it cause I am rather biased...) Stop by this summer and say hey to us Zone ThirtyFour kids...we welcome anyone with an appetite and a wallet!!! :)

Thanks for the ego-booster Jenn...at this rate I might not be able to get my head in the office door come March... ;) No really though...I appreciate it...like Zone Thirtyfour needs any more encouragement to be big-headed though, I think I have taken care of that enough already, don't you? :)

Well.. Don't think for a second that I would ever think any zones are better than 5 & 6.. When I said THIRTYFOUR rocks I was referring to the person behind the persona :) not the wimpy little zones 3 & 4 :) We all know that they cannot compare to Zones 5 & 6 ( except maybe once I left them - no offense to the two people who took my place!) Stockade was "Raisin the Roof" the day they KICKED THE PANTS OFF OF CORRAL and they will do it to Coasters this season ( now that Coasters will have numbers to compare with last year). Now.. before someone jumps down my throat about Corral and Coasters making more money than Stockade... Please keep in mind that Battle Saturday's are about improving your own stand's sales over the same day from the previous season. No, Stockade cannot outsell either of those units ( Corral cant outsell Coasters either... so there!). Zone 5/6 stands may not be able to outsell you, but they can improve their own sales figures far better than anyone. Don't forget our poem from opening weekend in 1997 " Zones 1 & 2 who are you? Zones 3 & 4 hit the door. Zones 5 & 6 really kicks".. OK Dave.. have I redeemed myself now?

Sure Corral can outsell Coasters...they did it every Saturday. And don't think for a second that any of the stands in 34 won't be able to have a huge percent of increase in sales this year...cause they will! And as for the wimpy comment we won't even get into that...if we were so wimpy why are all of our employees coming back when none of the other ones are...Jenn I couldn't expect you to admit who is the best being that you managed those "other zones" but I just thought that as the spokesperson I should put my two cents in...the 34 natives are already getting on my case about your post! ;) 34 34 34 34 34 34

Corral kicks ass, but so does Stockade, we once planed to ambush the coasters crew with water guns and ballons after close, but elected not to after beint told not to. lol

perfection as usual. I will definately miss all our shenanigans from the past 3 summers. I have seen Stockade in the worst of times and the best of times, and let me tell you that even the worst times at Stockade were hella better than Corral's best! Long live 5/6...

Hey ZONE34... you better check your figures. Corral DID NOT outsell Coasters every Saturday. Coasters 2 registers out did Corrals 10 registers almost without fail. While I still bow down to Corral for the numbers they could bring in during the season.. they must concede that Coasters was the reigning queen for last season. Unless you have information that Accountning doesn't? Stockade cannot compete in dollar amounts... it's just not possible, but they can kick the butt off any crew when it comes to increased sales!!! As for the other zones not having employees come back.. well, it is becuase you are an awesome sup.. and you don't have competition from me and my supervisors from the back of the park. You know darn well that if I were still in the back that you would be shaking in your shoes. And keep one thing in mind... While your managers hire for their own zones I hire for everyone. Hmm... perhapas it is time to start beefing up ZOnes 1 & 2 and 5 & 6... and don't forget 7 & 8. I think perhaps your head IS getting a little too big and I am going to need to knock it down a notch:) I wonder how much hiring I can do in the week that I have left :) One other question.. why is it that I NEVER see postings from zone 1 & 2? Or zone 8 ( restuarants)?

I must apologize for arriving to the debate here a little late, but my 2 cents must be added.

I must add that i normally skim through longer posts so if i am repeating anything please take an easy on me. But it seems Jenn still thinks the back of the park is better then Z34? And that stockade can out sell corral? So rather then basing it on battle saturdays stand vs stand why dont you base it on 34 vs 56?

If 56 can out sell 34 on any given weekend maybe i should be the one getting a pie in my face? *** This post was edited by Wagonboy on 2/19/00. ***
