Thank you realmadrid. I am so glad that I did not make a trip for cookies.
No coaster will ever be too fast or too tall!
Amen to that. With all the "big present" talk on facebook and twitter, I almost went today with my son. Glad I didn't.

Maybe the cookies were shaped like stakes? Or stars, or wood, or coaster trains, Yeah that would get the fires burning.

Unfortunately, they were shaped like regular old cookies. Surprised that they were rather large though.
Where are the markings at now? From the "Steaks" post from T&T, it looks like that was one on the beach, and I haven't been there to clarify if thats where it is.
So could we be seeing a POSSIBLE coaster out to the beach? Is there enough room, and even still if they needed some extra room can't they put dirt and rocks out just a bit into the lake, or is that not possible.
^I am about 98% sure it is not going to be a roller coaster. It isn't as easy as you think to build on into a lake. Cedar Point still has room. It isn't landlocked like Knott's Berry Farm but it isn't like Disney World either.
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
Hey Guys, I'm new here!
I know this may be nothing but when I went to cedarpoint.com , I've been looking to see something mysterious, well I found a couple of things!
1. I did a search on "landscaping" in the search engine, when the results came up the top result came up "landscaping, inside the park, Cedarpoint", then when I clicked on it; ?????!
2. I typed in "picnic" in the search engine and what did I get; ?????!
It may just be me, but I just wanted to bring it up; can't wait to see what the new ride is going to be next year! :)

No need to build into the lake. If they use the land that is currently used for the Coral Courtyard, Oceana Stadium and maybe the Giant Wheel (moving it to DD's old space) there is enough land for a wooden coaster.
This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!
Though I wish they would build a roller coaster, I don't think it would happen with the space that is available now. But who knows, they might have some of the world's best engineers to work around that problem or we could see a major park shake-up to make room for a new roller coaster.
If Cedar Point thinks about building anything into Lake Erie, they would have seriously lost their minds. Has anyone ever seen one of the Great Lakes in the winter time? When they are not frozen they are producing giant ocean like waves. In Michigan on Lake Michigan they even have a surfing shop open during the winter so they can serve surfers not wanting to fly out to California or Hawaii.
There is no way they would be able to build a ride and maintain it if it was built into Lake Erie. They would have to form more artificial wave breakers around Cedar Point just to make sure their ride(s) are safe.
I can see them building a giant boardwalk along the beach with multiple flat rides and a small coaster. Heck they could build new flat rides or bring some of the existing ones to the new boardwalk and open up areas of the park to more rides and roller coasters.
One thing I wish Cedar Point did do was to have different roller coasters pass by each other (could you imagine a flying roller coaster [safely] going over Millennium Force?!), kind of like Hershey Park with some of their coasters. Not to mention, Soak City has that giant parking lot in the back that I never see full, a roller coaster could easily by built over it.
