If CP really wants an effective commercial they should get Billy Mays to do a commercial for them...:) lol

fast...Faster...FASTEST!
Just saw my first CP TV commerical of the year on Detroit's WB 20. Features a woman who looks like a mother (different from the online video) looking like she's about to leave home with her family for a day at the park. Very toned down compared to commericals in years past.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Interesting...last night, I saw TV spots for both Cedar Point and Kings Island. Very different pitches for the two parks. I haven't watched the spot discussed in this thread, but it sounds like a long-form of what I saw last night, which featured a Mom-type wandering through the house talking about how she could afford to have fun at Cedar Point with its 150 rides, shows and attractions. In the next ad break was a pitch for Kings Island, with its 80 rides, shows and attractions including the new Diamondback roller coaster. But BOTH ads featured the "Come Away" music, which seems kind of odd, as Cedar Fair makes no secret that the parks are affiliated, but they also try not to pitch them the same way either.

It sounds like they continue to fail on figuring out how to handle the Columbus market. From what I gather, there is still a bit too much of a kingdom building culture between the two parks, and it's part of the reasons that pass processing has been such a mess. It's probably up to the people in the new building to figure all of that out.

Wouldn't it be great if they had a park in between the 2 cities? I dunno, possibly in an area like aurora. It would be nice if they had a nice old coaster and a nice family atmosphere. Possibly a waterpark and a classic old carousel. That would be great!!
You can stop trolling now. It's not really cute or funny.
