"1.Come on you guys. it HAS to be a rollercoaster. six flags Magic Mountain is getting their 17th coaster in 2010. Cedar point HAS to keep up with the record of having the most coasters in one park. Cedar Point would never give up that record!

4. "Definitely NOT taking the Beemer out for a spin today. Or next year for that matter."
A Beemer is a BMW. this could be referring to B&M, which is a rollercoaster manufacturer. It says, "definitely NOT" and "or next year for that matter", which could mean it is NOT going to be made by B&M.

6. Ever hear of Intamin? they made they TTD and Millenium Force. Well, Intamin has made something called an Aquatrax in another country. There are only 2 Aquatrax's around, and both are NOT in america. What is an Aquatrax you ask? it's a ROLLERCOASTER and a WATER RIDE put together. They make aquatrax's small enough and thrilling enough for where it would fit on millenium island. if it is an Aquatrax, this would break yet another record. it would break the record for being the first EVER aquatrax being built in the USA."

1. The coaster wars are really over. It is not a big deal because quality is better than quanity. Six flags might be getting more quanity, but has not alot of quality.

4. You just figured that out! I am so stupid!;l

6. Yeah everyone has. BAD Capacity. Millenium FOrce has such a small footprint.

When I look at your posts, it makes me feel smart. Sorry!:)

I'm not sure exactly what you meant by your post, if you were trying to prove me wrong or something. But, I'm not a coaster genious and I wasn't trying to sound like one. I was just tryign to put pieces of the clues together in a way for it to all make sense. and at the moment when i posted those things, it made good sense in my mind. i look back now at what i wrote, and i now see other people's points of view. i think i'm going to post something later on that incorporates other people's ideas.

just because the manufacturer says it's a water ride, doesn't make it so.

Wait what? So who does, then? Does the Water Ride Enthusiasts Conglomerate have a gathering on opening day to determine if a new ride is really a water ride? Or maybe CP has a beacon that they shine into the sky, calling Aqua Man into action to make that decision... :)

Got me on that one :) I guess I just meant the marketing department is trying to place their product in the water ride category. Even though when you look at the ride itself and read the description carefully, it doesn't really seem to have any water elements. Remove the reference to water and woolah, you have an entirely new product to market! They probably (or could) have the exact same coaster design marketed as a motorcycle or snowmobile ride. Actually, I like that idea - theme it as a 4-wheeler ride (with cars that look like ATV's instead of logs) that comes out of the old frontier lift station and romps through the backtrails of millenium island.

I realize that the blog is in all likelihood referencing Snake River Falls. But, didn't Sir Rub-A-Dub's Tubs also open in 1993?

Is this a board of overvaluation enthusiasts? I still emphatically say it is infact a flume, nothing will change my mind. ;)

Yep, I'm putting my money on a flume. And T&T's blog today seems like they are not planning on doing anything to SNF in the near future.

Just a little food for thought, but do you think that T&T are hyping this up simply because it is not a coaster, and therefore does not automatically create the amount of hype that a coaster would generate? In no way am I saying it will be boring though, just saying it will not be a coaster.

I was at the park yesterday and me and my friend were asking the ride ops on MF about the new ride and one of them told us to look back and to the left on the second hill that goes on to Millennium Island. We did so and found that there was a large spiral staircase and whatlooked like the metal rails found in the queues at CP. There is alsoboxes of what looked like nuts and bolts. This stuff is hidden verywell and if you didn't know to look for it you wouldn't see it. Thereis also what appears to be some kind of construction looking things inside the first overbanked turn after the first hill. The same worker also said that the other day when he was testing it there was some guys from Intamin on the island with blueprints pointing at things on the island. Obviously the ride ops usually aren't very well informed about what is going on, but I do think that something is going on.

I caught a glance at these metal rails when I was at CP in late June from the train. They were hidden well and could only be seen for a split second if you were looking in the right direction...

^^wow just few seconds of visiblity. Kinda Like a Flash of Whyte Lighthing. Sorry I couldn't help it.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

Now that's reaching for it Matt... :)

Very interesting find though, and the fact that it has been confirmed is even more intriguing. Makes you wonder if anything else has been hidden on the island.

All that junk has been removed. I guess there is a chance they left some handrails because the bone yard did have old queue rails in there.

that pic Makes the area that has been cleared, look really small. Or is that just the angle? If the Old Frontier Lift station is used as someone may have suggested, I wonder what angle a ride would leave out of that station or for that matter a line since if it is a new ride for 2010, no matter what it is will have a line because it is new. I am thinkin that Frontier Lift will becoming a new sitdown type resturant.

The latest CP blog indicates a celebration of the attraction added in 1993 (17 years before 2010). That would be Snake River Falls, so I guess it's staying put?

The fact that SNF is staying makes me think even more that Cedar Creek Mine Ride's days might be numbered

I doubt that.

They just replaced a lot of wood on mine ride. They almost totaly rebuilt a whole section of it.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

SO I was looking over the Hallow weekends page. Thinking maybe the Fam would go this year again and I noticed, terror Island is not mentioned nor is any of the fright zones? IS this an over sight with more info to come, or will the Island be under construction by then?

They just have the "preview" of the Halloweekends page up right now. They usually launch the full site closer to the start of the event.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
