Just wanted to be the first to say....100 PAGES!!!!!!

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

hmm I discovered that picture when reading through the updates on screamscape. It was reported on 5/12/09 and was taken outside of the ohio B&M plant. Mabey track is not at the point because its just a couple hours away? I believe the red track in the picture is part of Carowind's Hyper Coaster but what of the yellow track. Its been reported also that the yellow track is smaller than the red.

Cedar Point has been giving us clues of what its not going to be by saying Intamin, TOGO, GCI Aquatrax, but if they are using reverse pschycology on us like i believe.... that means when they say its not B&M, they are actually saying it is a B&M Coaster.

If someone knows where the yellow track is going to prove me wrong go ahead and post it, but what if Cedar Point is actually getting a yellow B&M?

I love how every one in the "coaster community" is jumping on any bone a park throws at them.

Heck someone from the park could take a picture of a crumpled up piece of paper with Intamin written on it and it would generate at least 2 pages of speculation on here.

Two?...more like 12 pages. Heck, that would "confirm" it for most people around here.

I realize that the blog is in all likelihood referencing Snake River Falls. But, didn't Sir Rub-A-Dub's Tubs also open in 1993?

I'm not convinced they're talking about SRF.

I never thought they were taking it out. I just thought I'd mention there was more than one addition that year.

I think this is so fun! I loved the green track picture! Love the trees! I hope that whatever it is that it will be awesome and not a let down! I will keep waiting and trying to find clues and guessing......

Jason, I did think they were taking it out, as per the "inside info" someone posted way back when this thread was still in diapers. Combined with the ride's purported maintenance issues, I thought it was a sure thing it was going away after this season. I was convinced enough to ride it last week, anyway. :)

T&T's post has only reinforced my belief that SRF is going bye-bye. :)

I just can't see Cedar Point promoting a log flume next year...this is baffling me. "Check out our new ride for 2010, similar to the ride we ripped out 3 years ago." It's almost as if they are admitting they made a mistake. If it's a log flume, why didn't they just update WWL and put a similar Maverick layout in the spot of the 2010 attraction? That way we would have gotten something truly new next year.

Something "truly new"? Are you suggesting they're going to re-erect WWL?

Brandon

^^I agree. It probably won't be a log flume. At least not a traditional one. Maybe some modern update of the log flume? Just throwing out ideas. Not sure if they are good ones. Another thought I had was a ProSlide Rocket (a tube slide with LIM's that allow it to go uphill). They have been in water parks up until now, but they could probably do one that doesn't require a bathing suit. I know you can ride HydroBlaster at MiA without wearing a swimsuit and you don't get completely soaked. It uses tubes similar to the Rocket. Again, just a thought, probably a stupid one.

Maybe the two tracks are both for CP. :) That could be why Lightning Strikes TwYce...

DJ, I had posted it on here at the beginning. I was at the park going over some new LED lights they were looking at for certain parts of the midway. The person who I was demonstrating things to mentioned to me after I asked what was going on with the clearing of the trees. He said he was sure about what that was at all but said that SRF days were numbered. When he mentioned that I thought for sure it would have been closed by now. So I am not sure that guy even knew.

I totally agree with you. A flume????? I feel as though there wouldn't be so much effort. There is to much teasing going on for flume. Cedar Point would lose fans if they teased everyone so much to put in a flume. Jeff said think about the gap between rides, and im thinking about it.

First of all WHY WOULD THEY EVER tear down a great flume ride to build another two years later?? It just doesn't make any sense.

Second of all, if you want to hear what I think the gap is between rides...its a woodie. We all know CP needs a better woodie to bolster its reputation. Not all people are fans of smooth steal rides, and for those of you who feel work would have began by now if it was a roller coaster...think about wicked twister and other past coasters at the point. Most havent been built until the season ended.

Thats just how I feel. I'm probably wrong but we shall see.
