^^^ Would make for a great attraction to Hallowweekends, come listen to ghost stories and urban legends of Cedar Point around the glow of Mean Streak.
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

hahaha i would go... think of all the people it would bring to the park. mean streak + fire = higher attendance
its not my favorite ride by i think it does have potential if they work hard on it. i really dont want to see it go just yet.

Ok then hmm I will have to rethink that.....Las Vegas style implosion with all types of fire works and fire water effects. Watch out for splinters. But honestly, Mean Streak isn't going anywhere anytime soon, unless someone heading into campground or hotels, with a delivery truck falls asleep at the wheel or has a seizure and makes a turn at a high rate of speed into the the structure.I still am GUESSING that Cedar Fair in general is going to announce a sponsorship with NASCAR and the new attraction will have something to do with NASCAR.

Interesting thought on that, but I think they have a guard rail all along that size of the structure along the perimeter road plus 6"+ fencing beyond that (if my memory is correct). Also with the near 90 degree curve in the road at that part of the peninsula by the water, I doubt you're going to get enough speed or force built up to go through those barriers -- (unless you're driving a monster truck, a bulldozer or a tank).
I would love to see Mean Streak go out in a 'blaze' of glory, and the new coaster they build in its ashes could be called the Phoenix. ;)

Why would they (or anyone) want to do that? NASCAR is burning out faster than Mean Streak would if doused in gas and hit with a Molotov Cocktail.
Heres a thought...What if they are moving Disaster Transport over to Millennium Island and putting a coaster over that way... Maybe move Demon Drop.. That was from my nephew.

Not everyone would know what in the world is meant by the word "Aquatrax"...if I wasnt such a coaster geek I wouldnt know.
It could be a joke, or perhaps this is what it is...
It would be a great way to get what my wish was...a combo dark ride/water ride in one.
Who knows...I personally think they look like fun.
Again, this could just be a joke aimed at everyone who thought Maverick was going to be an aquatrax, but it could be done well, and would fill a lot of aforementioned "gaps" in the lineup all at once.
