Cedar Point better do something amazing if it is an aquatrax, because I am still not sold on that idea, or a water ride in general. Everytime I have been to Cedar Point, it has been around anywhere between 60-75 degrees, no where close to being hot enough for me to want ride any kind of water ride. But I do have faith that whatever it is, I wont be disappointed.
Well, the announcement must be far off. Considering the fact that we don't have a release date yet.
Who said they had to give a date? Most of the time they just spring it on the world.

Oh, I didn't know that. It just seems that in the recent years we had a notice of some sort.
I know Maverick was. I'm not sure about the others. Diamondback was, and Carowinds new ride has an announcement date as well.
Matybe they are keeping the announcement a secret to keep us in suspence...just a thought. I am hoping they will announce it in the fall and then have a web cam on the site to we can at least have something to watch over the winter and look forward to seeing in the spring!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs

Hmmm... first Aquatrax in America... sounds like Cedar Point. :)
I don't recall Cedar Point ever building a first of its kind (or even really second or third). They may make it the biggest and fastest, but first isn't usually on their list.

Nope. But we usually leave the house a little after 7, so I catch the first couple news blips and that's it. Did they just mention the "Aquatrax?" bluff?

If I am not mistaken TTD was the first Strata.

Yeah, they took the hydraulic launch coaster and made it bigger and faster. But it wasn't the first. And we saw what kind of problems they had with scoping up that technology, so I don't expect to see them on the cutting edge like that too much in the future.

Something is brewing for 2010, lightning is going to strike. Hmmmmmmmm
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
Jugga, not on T.V.. but if you look to the right on the CP Twitter feed it shows you who is following and The Today show is listed.
if this new attraction was a coaster,, when would they have to start construction and i know it matters what kind and how big it is but would they be able to finish an average style coaster from oct. to april. i know CP doesnt usualy build average style coasters and it might no even be a coaster. i know about coasters just not about much of the construction process . if someone knows it might help us see when they'll make an announcement or when they'll have to start construction.im already tired of all the teasing already
^ Haha, I'm not sure any part of that post is grammatically or factually correct. In an effort to keep this thread at least somewhat on topic, has anyone seen anything new at the point recently?
Not a thing other than the land clearing. This leads me to believe even more, that this is going to be a water ride and not a major coaster.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I suspect crazy horse is dead on. Wait, would that make him 'dead horse'?
