I wish it was a joke.
That coaster above^, looks like they just moved maverick over the water.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yeah, with it's huge hills and twisted finale. Yep, looks exactly like Maverick *rolleyes*
Nice mock up there, however I don't think they have the room for that big second hill you have.
Nice idea! But I could see some problems with the number of times the track jumps the lagoon.

Silly me thinking that maverick has twisted track.

Yes, it does. So I guess Mean Streak, Raptor and Mantis look like Maverick too because they're all twisted up as well. Makes sense, sorry I crossed you
*facepalm*
Now that you mention it, they all look like your drawing as well.

The basic idea I wanted to relay from the drawing wasn't really the layout on the island rather than where I think the easiest place for a station/lift would be. I really don't see any other place with easy access from the midway if they don't take out Snake. Notice how in the drawing Snake's queue is still there and could be reused. Unless they want to tear down a bunch of trees on Frontier Trail and reroute the train again, I just don't see a better place. Don't pay attention to anything in the drawing after the first three hills, at that point I was just doodling and trying to use the island since obviously whatever this is going to be will. And for everyone saying they won't take out Snake, let me ask you this, when is the last time you or anyone you know rode it? I know I haven't in at least 10 years. If it were up to me, forget about the water rides and charge people with park admission 10 bucks or some kind of discounted rate to get into Soak City for a few hours.

So what you're saying is during the summer months, all of those people in line for and riding on Snake River Falls aren't actually in line, they're just there for show right?
I highly doubt SRF is going anywhere, anytime soon. The logic that "not that many people ride it" is pure crap. It may not be as popular as WWL was, but its far from being a ghost ride.

I haven't seen that queue full in years and I'm there once a week ussually. And when there is a line, half of that is due to the capacity.
And I didn't say that nobody rides it, I just asked how many of you here do. Read my post.

You actually asked how many of us and people we know, so that applies to a lot more people.
Far more people ride it than you imply, which is my point. I don't have to re-read your post, you need to stop making assumptions.

Seems to me the numbers point otherwise, it's not the most popular ride in the park, obviously, but I'm still not seeing a reason to tear it down solely based on ridership...do you?

Ridership isn't the only means of deciding if a ride gets removed/demolished. WWL was the victim of what I'm talking about.

No, not at all, people rode the hell out of Dodgem2 and they got rid of that...for something better. What I'm saying is, thats a perfect location for a new ride with easy access to the boneyard area and the island. What I'm trying to figure out here is, how many of you would really miss Snake if something new and better were to take its place, I know I wouldn't, whether its a flume or a coaster.

I ride it every time I am there in the beginning of August (sometimes a few times in a row). It is a good way to get the stink off of myself after riding Thunder Canyon. Damn Lake Erie water.
Although, I stay at Breakers and usually ride it before or after Soak City in my bathing suit and t-shirt. I do not like to walk around the park wet, thus why I do it then. I like the ride and if I was not staying on Point, I would probably still ride it. I would just change afterward in the Soak City changing rooms.
Snake River Falls was in danger of failing inspection last spring and was barely ready for Opening Day. Don't ask me how maintenance can be difficult on the ride, because I wonder the same thing. However, contrary to what a lot of you think, SRF is meeting its demise much sooner than you think, and a coaster isn't taking its place.
I just hope that if it is a water ride they can build locker rooms like in Soak City, there should be plenty of room in the Frontier Lift bathroom building

^ When they remodeled those bathrooms a couple of years ago, they did put in a few changing rooms. Not exactly a locker room, but pretty close.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I bet I havn't ridden Snake River Falls in 10 years, Thunder Canyon in 10 years, and I rode White Water Landings every year since I was tall enough...

You'll have to pardon my sarcasm when I say that I love how everyone has inside sources at the park, and knows the future of rides..but how, exactly, do you know this? Facts? Evidence? Or just another seasonal trying to be cool?
