Mystery Construction

If the perpetrator is a baby, then you punch him or her twice, I believe. I'll have to check my Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Punching Babies manual and get back to you.

Brandon

I would think if you punch the baby in the face in front of a mirror, that would solve both problems. The carrat-using baby would be like, "Holy crap, look at that guy in the mirror! He's punching a baby in the face!"

Oh, and, Ride the Pine!

Oh, and, Ride the Pine!

I have it figured out! Kings Island is helping by giving Cedar Point Son of Beast to use as some mulch! Along with Mean Streak it makes lightning (both are in the top five fastest for a woodie) strike twyce! The SOB one will have a loop for a while! ;)

I hate to sound stupid I guess(Go ahead and rip on me for saying that) BUT my question is: What is a carrat?

I mean it sounds to me that you are talking about the way people post in certain context and punctuation but I just wasn't sure.

^ - ^ is a carat. It is basically an up arrow that lets you denote the post above yours is the one being responded to. It kinda falls flat if someone sneaks a post in that space before you can finish.

Thanks!

Oh and RealMadrid, yes I could have searched it on google but I thought I would just ask instead.

Just curious but since we know that tomorrow they are announcing their plans. What will you be watching it on. Pointbuzz, CedarPoint.com,Twitter or Facebook?

has this been brought up

what if they retrack MS with track meant for a steel coaster.....MS would strike twyce then?

or is this not possible

If i'm not mistaken, retracking with steel would not solve the problem because it is the structure that is a piece of crap. At full speed it puts to much stress on the structure, so it basically tears itself apart.

When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835

Whatever this ride is, I'm quite curious to see its layout. Whatever it is, only two possibilities exist:

(1) The ride crosses the lagoon, with the station on the outside (presumably on/near Frontier Trail), or

(2) The ride remains on the island, in which case a bridge of some sort would be required for access to the station.

There is, technically, a third option. The park could make use of PWE boats (or other vessels) to transport visitors across to the island, where they would then board the ride. This option doesn't seem very viable to me, so we can stick to the first two.

Either way, it will be interesting to see how it's done. There will be significant changes to the park map next year, that's for certain.

That is interesting, Mike. If the station is on the island and is reached via bridge, that could impact how they handle access to & from Terror Island in the future.

Every time someone uses carats instead of those oh-so-tricky "English words", I want to punch a baby in the face. Is the concept of context really that difficult to grasp?

Sorry for the rant, but I had no idea what the hell you were talking about, and that's frustrating.

I'm sorry I must have missed the meeting where "carats" were deemed inappropriate. I must have let my Netiquette Magazine subscription lapse. :)

I guess the concept of "don't sweat the small stuff" is too difficult for you to grasp.

Perhaps you could show me in what grammar book they explain how to properly use carats in a web forum. :)

Oh Dj, c'mon let the kids be kids. Just kidding. Its true. Why can't you people just learn to type and quote things instead of using your shortcuts. Its bad enough I went on a little tangent yesterday about people Texting and now this. Its a forum. Learn how to type!

DJ, yeah, it makes me wonder if we're talking about the new and future entry to Terror Island -- and if so, would this ride therefore shut down after every Labor Day? Perhaps it would be a moot point if it's a water ride and a drencher. But I would hate to see something like an updated WWL close every year with two months left on the season.

Well judging from Tony's most recent Onpoint blog post today I'm going with an Intamin log flume of some sort. I just hope it's badass and breaks some records! What makes me think it's a log flume now is that he said "it will round out the attraction lineup". They are missing water rides so bringing a log flume in would round out the lineup IMO.

Maybe they are just relocating the Geauga Lake Log Flume. That was one classic ride.

:-)
