Yeah I havn't been on PWE because every time I go to Cedar Point the lines (at the time I go over) are 45 min long. Was gonna go on it with my cousin last year till he got into one of his moods (4 year old)
^I've ridden it almost every time I've been tot he park and have never waited more than 15 minutes. Usually I've walked on.

I love when trolls lump the 12,000+ registered users on this site together as one, as if they collectively share the same opinion and have the same posting style.
You know, it usually starts out as, "the people on pointbuzz ..."
Twitter post means that they will not take out the paddlewheel excursion, right?
Anyone who say the wiki page on Whyte Lightning before it was deleted, do you think there is any truth in it? Plus, from it being from a guy named Cptony, the language in it sounded very much like the CP marketing team, boasting the records and such. If it actually turns out to be Tony, isn't this his biggest "hint" yet? If it doesn't, then someone has a great imagination on WL will work.
The only thing I've noticed about the Whyte Lightning Wikipedia page is that the description of the ride says the EXACT same thing as the page for reverse-boat rides on Intamin's website. Coincidence, I think not.
(I say this with confidence after seeing what "CpTony" said on Talk:WhyteLightning)
On second thought let's not go to Six Flags, 'tis a silly place.
so this Rebel yell thing..... what exactly will it be?
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
The question is this. Can they actually count that kind of Intamin flume as a coaster in the coaster count?
Hoping to one day build these great machines that we affectionatly call "Coasters"
The "cptony" is not our Tony. Its pretty obvious with this "quote" from the talk page.
Please don't delete this or we'll never announce it you m*****f*****s!
The whole thing is a steaming pile. Which of course means it'll now show up on Screamscape as official news.
Goodbye MrScott

@Maverick: Doesn't appear that a reversing boat ride counts as a coaster, but if it is like Atlantis as SeaWorld Orlando, then it should.
@Jugga: Thanks for the clear-up. It can't be our Tony. Lol on the Screamscape.
For those of you wondering, the fake article in question is this:
Opening spring 2010, Whyte Lightning is a coaster/flume-hybrid reversing boat ride at Cedar Point Amusement Park and Resort in Sandusky, Ohio.
Merging the experience in Flumes and Spillwaters with the experience in Roller Coaster technology, Whyte Lightning combines the best of both rides. The Reversing Boat Ride is a new concept incorporating the airtime thrill of a coaster with those of a water ride. Using a new design of boat seating 8 passengers that can go either forwards or backwards, the ride is designed to give guests the familiar and exciting sensation of a typical wooden roller coaster as the vehicles go over the ups and downs in the hills and valleys before a flume-type splashdown.
The ride's tagline "Lightning Strikes TwYce" represents the ride's final drop, which is preceeded by a turntable that sends the boats down one of two hills, either forward or backward. The top of the hill splits off into a Y shape.
The ride's entrance is located along Cedar Point's Frontier Trail, with the majority of the ride track housed on Milennium Island.
When finished, Whyte Lightning will be the first reversing boat ride in the world, making it the world's tallest, fastest and steepest.
The addition of Whyte Lightning will boost Cedar Point's number of roller coasters to 18, the most in the world.

I just looked at the Whyte Lightning Wikipedia page and someone else edited again.
Opening spring 2010, Whyte Lightning is the suspected name of Cedar Point's latest attraction. No official announcement has been made as of August 28, 2009. The announcement is expected to be made sometime around the Labor Day holiday, September 7th, 2009.
Now THAT seems more realistic. :)
On second thought let's not go to Six Flags, 'tis a silly place.
I'm betting they're just going to mulch the trees and shrubs they're clearing, pile the mulch up, hose it down, make us stand in line to get thrown down a tall moist hill and call it a first-of-its-kind water ride. Takers?
@Lasanga: There we go! Now, who from PointBuzz edited that...
@Bored: That's funny :)
EDIT: Link to PDF on the reversing boat ride. Fake article did contain a grain of truth though, it would be the first of its kind in the world.
Just so you know, we do not post information on the Internet in places other than: our own Facebook page, cedarpoint.com, our Twitter page, PointBuzz or CoasterBuzz.
I hope that helps. Remain calm. We're getting closer. Have a good weekend.
