Well for all you guys saying u hope its not a flume....just be happy they are building something at all......atleast cedar fair has not took much of a hit with the resession and they will still build and not just add more shows on ice lol=)
Yeah i go to CP like 18 times a year without a season pass.....and i have no idea why? lol
Revoman you've posted that, or something along the same lines, about 40 times now. We know you think (or you think you know) that it's going to be a log flume. No need to say it every few posts.
Just wait until the announcement. I think we can all agree that it's not too far out...

That wikipedia stuff is obviously not CP, but whoever did that might be right on. The Intamin Reversing Boat Ride really makes perfect sense.
If it turns out to be one, I am stoked for 2010. If you read my prediction / desires very early on...I think in the Snake River thread, the reversing boat ride fits everything I desired exactly! I said I wanted new flume technology, roller-coaster-like elements, super smooth ride, accelerated water, new experience...this Intamin ride is everything! Was this Intamin ride available early this year when I said all this stuff??? Can't believe I missed it...Intamin read my mind.
Anyway, if it's not the Intamin Reversing Boat Ride, it's got to be something similar / fresh. I highly doubt that CP would install a cliche 1970s log flume, where once you've ridden one, you've ridden them all. CP is far too state-of-the-art for something boring like that.
Do you think they might extend SRF? turn it into the new flumes drop?

I think that in the perfect MMP (moistened mulch pile), you would get kicked down one side, then have to walk back up over the top to get to the entrance and get kicked back down the other side. Lightning strikes twyce. If they really want state-of-the-art they can utilize the old Frontier Lift and use it to drop folks on top of the pile.
Or, the whole thing could be a typo. Could be Whyte Lighting, and they're putting in something similar to Starlight Experience on Millenium Island.
I still vote MMP.
^you know, I think you may be on to something!
After all, you have one of the few theories that has yet to be shut down! Imagine the amount of cash this would save CP! no more need to dispose of grass clippings, or other organic trash. Oh! and once portions of the pile have become too unhealthy for ride use they can transfer the greens from that section to the salad bar at the midway market! imagine the incredible money saving advantages of this ingenious new ride style!

MMP is the new Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Can't prove it's not, so it's plausible.
Tony's post about Whyte Lightning and the Chippery making a bad combination made me think that maybe the Chippery will be gone next year and they will use the building for something to do with the ride. Although the Chippery part of the building is new, maybe it has not satisfied there sales expectations.
2008 visits = 38, 2009 = 19, 2010 = 11, 2011 = 14, 2012 = 10, 2013 = 14, 2014 = 14, 2015= 13, 2016 = 11, 2017 = 5, 2018 = 3
Mikey, where's the Chippery? It's not jumping out at me and I can't find it on the map.
If my hunch is correct, it might be a good idea to keep the Chippery, but re-theme it as the "Wood Chippery," in support of the MMP.
Theoretically, if there's a wood chipper there, they could solve the Mean Streak problem as well and free up a bunch of land in the back of the park for some huge coaster project in 2011. With the lightning bolt on the logo and the webpage description as a "white knuckler," there's a double tie-in to Whyte Lightning, where the mulch of Mean Streak will live on in the MMP project.
It's across this midway from the stage where they have the barbershop quartet skeletons for HW. Right by the Millie underpass. Now that you got me thinking about it, that really is not very close to the construction site. They would have to negotiate Millie's track and maybe even Mantis' to get it on the island. Could be done though. But it makes my theory hold less water.

lol i really like the wood chippery idea. and i would totally stand in line for the Moistened Mulch Pile!

Maybe Tony is implying that you shouldn't eat before the ride, otherwise you will "engage in an involuntary protien spill!" Or maybe it was just something he said to get a laugh, or random jargon.
Listen to the Crowd "COASTER COASTER COASTER COASTER"
