Yeah i go to CP like 18 times a year without a season pass.....and i have no idea why? lol
^^^lol Haxs.
SoEffenBored, the Chippery is in Toot Sweets before the Millennium tunnel.
I'll be there tomorrow and report back.....even thought there wont be anything new. The announcement is just days away so in all honesty, I might just not post anything if I do find something.;)

Thanks all for the chippery directions, I'll have to check it out when I'm there next. See if you see any pre-emptive mulching or chipping on your trip.
MMP 2010!
Btw, I don't THINK I know anything.
I am telling you flat out what it IS log flume.
Blah.....I digress....
If its gonna be a log flume ride, could it at least be something cool and different like an inverted log flume or a stand-up log flume or even a flying log flume. I could sort of imagine cedar point doing that.
With that being incredibly unlikely however, I would also like to say that just because they are making all this "hype" about it doesn't mean it won't be a coaster, even though a coaster will make its own hype. After all, they did something similar to this with Diamondback at Kings Island, and it was a roller coaster, so why can't this be a roller coaster too? Either way, I'm just happy that Cedar Point cares enough to at least let us have any clue to what it is AT ALL. :)
(And I know that we make the hype, I just couldn't remember the other word being used)
On second thought let's not go to Six Flags, 'tis a silly place.
Perhaps the MMP could be topped with beer? After all, the beer flume and the moist mulch pile are the most likely ideas, so CP could do both in one ride.
Undomesticated equines could not remove me.

Yes, I can just see it: Riding in a face first prone position while drowning it's passengers in the flume. Sounds like fun.
Did you guys see these intimidator coasters at KD And CW?
I bet you guys that's what it is gonna be some sort of NASCAR Themed Ride But what it is really funny it is built by 2 different companies and there the same ride(name).
Just an Idea here ,A little food for thought.

How's denial taste? How do you think press leaks happen? People who know most definitely talk.
It will not be a NASCAR themed ride. I'd say that is one of the most certain things about it. Everyone, stop thinking that it will be a NASCAR ride just because Cedar Fair is building two other NASCAR themed rides this year.
Look at the teaser stuff--CP sent out a glass bottle to media outlets, the kind of bottle that you put rum/whiskey in, with Whyte Lightning as the title. Also with it came a comic with a frontier style character and situation (I do not know the name of that character) On the Whyte Lightning website, you can see the same bottle with a (drunk?) dog on it.
Unless you are suggesting that Cedar Point thinks that NASCAR drivers are drunk rednecks, I would stop saying it is a NASCAR ride.

If it weren't for the terrible capacity or all the lawyers and insurance companies in this country, a boat ride like this looks kind of unique. Maybe expand on it a bit more and up the capacity.
I dont know, the "Wyte Lightning" logo doesnt really scream roller coaster, it looks more like a flume, even though i really want a new coaster, it might not be.
ok i don't know this could be just my computer but cedarpoint.com won't load for me. all other sites i've tried do but it just won't load at all.

^that is the same for me. Goodle chrome says it isn't available.
Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc
