Not sure I would call the restraints on Pilgrim's Plunge OTSR's. At least, not in the same sense as the ones on Raptor or Corkscrew.
Can someone post the link or clue that states CP will announce the new ride on Labor Day? I can not find it anywhere, yet many of you keep stating this. Thank you.
Pilgrims Plunge doesn't have OTSR's. It has OTSLB's. Over the shoulder lap bars. There is no shoulder restraint.
Ensign: Did we ever confirm that it was in fact Tony who said it? Someone said that someone said it at the platinum pass holder ride night. But, I don't think anyone here was there that night. If they were, I sure don't remember them speaking up about it. If it was a ride-op, I'm not sure I'd state it as fact.

Been catching up on all of your gentlemen's comments the last couple days and I must say you should all be commended on your abilities to think outside of the box.
Here's my $0.02...
My first gut instinct was a pre-fabricated woodie. They say El Toro is unmatched and I had the chance to ride Terminator back in June out in LA and it's legit.
However, I've changed my thinking a little.
My prediction is a RETURN (in some form) of White Water Landing. A more beefed-up version if you will. It fits a lot of the clues especially the Crystal Rock Bottling Company is supposedly located in West Virginia. And remember when WWL was originally installed it was supposedly an Appalachian Mountain-themed log ride. And of course the public outcry over it's removal has been well documented.
Also props to the suggestion of a complete overhaul of Snake River Falls. That could definitely be it as well.
Either way, Cedar Fair is doing a fine job here. I didn't think they'd be able to top last summer's Kings Island/Diamondback drama but it would appear they certainly have.

It was a Tweet.
Yes, that is the extent of the information that everyone has based an announcement date off of. Though it could just be when they announce the date of the announcement. Well, that and this tweet as well. Which some have inferred to mean the order of each parks announcements. Though just because that's the order, it still doesn't tell us exactly when.

OK,this may be a bit off topic... but on the Point Buzz homepage there's the picture of Millennium Island with the hillbilly guy from the comic in the Whyte Lightning bottle... I tried to make that image bigger so I could see if there are any words on the sign but I cant find it on the photo gallery... Can anyone see if there is any writing on it?
I don't know if this has already been discussed, I couldn't find it in any of the pages, but if you type intimidator.cedarpoint.com it actually redirects you to a page of cedarpoint.com that doesn't exist yet.
Could this be done to throw us off or does that mean CP is also getting an Intimidator?????
It's not a real picture. It probably doesn't say anything. If you watch this video, you can see the character in question in the comic strip beginning at around 1:08 and on. Somewhere else there was a link to a scanned image of that comic strip. Walt probably just put something together for fun.

Here's an interesting idea:
Would it be possible to create a log flume that worked similarly to a water coaster? Have magnets propel it up hill and maybe even a launch when the Moonshine distillation turns volatile? I think that could be a whole lot of fun! This could potentially be a very elaborate renovation of SRF. I think that may be why they hinted at it being its 17th birthday, because it is getting a present.
Again, just speculating...

You could type jasonhammond.cedarpoint.com and it will take you to the same page. It doesn't mean anything.

Lightning strikes twice, Carowinds had a coaster called white Lightnin before has this been pointed out before?
A previous post mentioned Jeff knowing about the new attraction. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Jeff and Walt had no associations with CF.

August 10 via TwitterI went back and read all the clues again. Someone tell me how this could be a flume with this clue? An Aquatrax makes sense, but one of the clues directly is that it's not an Aquatrax.
I believe that was posted around the time of the other "red herring" tweets. They said "Gee, See Eye!" at that time too, and we've since confirmed there's no GCI headed their way.
And I believe someone else mentioned a possible connection to NASCAR, as Earnhardt was visiting around that time as well. NASCAR vehicles have 5-point harness and wheels, FWIW.

Also, you can all take this for what it's worth. I literally have just received a phone call from a very close friend who works for All Phase. All Phase is an electrical company which has apparently been contracted to wire this new attraction. I begged and pleaded with him and he finally admitted to me that it is a "water ride."
Again, take it for what it's worth but this is the same friend who told me a stand-up roller coaster was coming about six months before any media speculation began.
