I don't know if this means anything or not but when searching for Patents, Trademarks, etc.... I found this.
http://www.uspto.gov/web/trademarks/tmog/20090728_URC.pdf
Once you're there, search for Cedar Fair. It pulls a service mark that was registered for "Rebel Yell"
When searching the web, Wiki came up with this....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_yell
It seems to kind of go together with what they were talking about....
Hmmmm..... makes me wonder.
Hope this helps.
3 x's on the bottle = 3rd log flume at the park...
45 to 310 down 300 at 93 angled 80 then 169 into 182 for 6,595 since 2000 = #1
I think the three x's have to do with the cp:3 thing from a while back
The 3 x's are what you always see on jugs of moonshine in cartoons. Are you guys really analyzing it THAT closely?

There aren't any flumes at the park...
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Total ever in the parks history i'm not sure if thats three is it mill ride, white water landing is that all of them?
I believe there was also a "Shoot the Rapids" as well. If I remember correctly it was somewhere back in Frontiertown.

Shoot the Rapids was where Raptor is now.
Oops, my bad. That was Mill Race. SORRY!!! Gotta get my history straight I guess :)

Rebel Yell is a racing roller coaster at Kings Dominion.
One odd thing...they keep saying that something is brewing for 2010. But the stuff commonly found in corked half-gallon glass jugs is typically not brewed, but distilled...

Dave, that's why it is a "beverage unlike any other". It's brewed moonshine whiskey, impossible to do until the new double brewed "lightning strikes twice" process was developed.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
oh crap its gonna be like the crypt and riptide rides........
Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.
You do realize that no amount of discussion on the bottle or the name Whyte Lightning will help you figure out what it is.
BUT....Maybe it will be a whiskey flume.
Undomesticated equines could not remove me.

It looks to be a glass jug of some kind...
It is a growler, like you fill with beer to go at a microbrewery or brewpub. Most brewpubs have their own logo growler. The newest one in my collection is from Put in Bay Brewing Company. Maybe they will be seeing some competition from Whyte Lightning Brewing Company!
Please remain in your seat until the ride comes to a complete and final stop.

So it is gonna be a Hooters!;)
HA! Funny stuff....
On a more serious note, if the new Carowinds coaster is going to be called WHITE LIGHTNING and the new Cedar Point coaster (everything said and done, I'm still hopeful for a coaster) is going to be called WHYTE LIGHTNING, doesn't lightning strike twice in there? Just saying...
------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Go to http://whitelightning.carowinds.com/, it now says "This site is UnderConstruction. Information Technology (Cedarfair L.P.)" There's also a guy cutting a flag out the a wall with a saw-zaw. Probably just means the site will be launching in a few hours.
I still think that a Dar Kastle type dark ride with a running moonshine theme could still be possible! That would be great!
Either Cedar Point just felt like teasing us more this year, or maybe the new addition is going to be a really big deal... We will just have to wait and see.
If Whyte Lightning is going to be the name of CP's ride, then I would say that "lightning strikes twyce" is most likely the tagline. With that in mind, I think that the twice has absolutely nothing to do with a ride being put in at another park. It would have been pretty dumb if Mantis' tagline had some kind of reference to Wildthing at Valleyfair just because they both opened in the same year. I could be completely wrong, but I think the "Y" and "twyce" has meaning to this ride alone.

I guess we'll figure this out in about 35 minutes. Carowinds is making their announcement then. If it is called White Lightning, then maybe it has something to do with "lightning strikes twyce" (but remember, lightning never strikes twice in the same place). If its called Intimdator (which is more likely, due to the partnership with DEI), then we will be even more confused. :)
