Mystery Construction

^Or the entrance;)

They tried that with Mantis when it first opened - going over the railroad tracks. It didn't work out so well, so I don't know if they'd put the entrance there or not.

But what if it went over the tracks?

I think i found the new ride, tho it was supposed to come out this year....

Wow! Someone needs a girlfriend (assuming the girl in the video was his sister who owns the house that has the basement in which that guy lives in...with his dog).

There we go. Its going to be a RickRollercoaster. Why didn't we see it before?

Undomesticated equines could not remove me.

Now back onto actual topic. Screamscape reported that at the Maverick ERT they said you wouldn't get wet. Does everyone still say log flume?

Well, if Screamscape reported it, it must be true! ;)

After looking at the info, I'd say take it with a big ol' grain of salt. SS is posting 2nd-hand information here, at best.

With the name Whyte lighting, I could see this attraction entrance on frontier trail. It would match the themeing of the trail .. But the train track would be a problem.. So I thought MAYBE they will move the train track to go around the outside of Millennium Island and join back to the original track between Millie & mantis. It would make the room for a few large attractions on frontier trail.
we'll find out soon enough.. But I do love the speculations.. Its 1/2 the fun finding out what the point is going to give us..

The problem with that, DENBEAR, is moving the RR tracks there would necessitate the removal of PWE. Not saying that's impossible, but it would seem that simply routing the line over the existing RR track would be much easier.

Brandon

I thought the same thing DENBEAR. I'm starting to wonder if the land clearing was for the train tracks. This would definitely clear some land up and make it more accessible, so attractions and paths do not have to fight the tracks. Hmmmmm.

djDaemon is correct that the boats would need to be removed, but I'm not sure they are worth saving at this point. Interesting to think about.

I fail to see how moving the RR would improve anything, even if PWE wasn't in the way of such a change. The RR already runs along the water's edge, for the most part, at least in the area being discussed. How would moving it improve things?

Back when Shoot-The-Rapids was new, they had a sign next to the ride entrance that said "Wanna Bet You Won't Get Wet?".

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

It just depends on how much CP wants the ride to interact with guests. As it stands now, I would think a path would need to be cut in that crosses the tracks, ala Mean Streak. If the tracks are relocated, there are no restrictions. If the boat ride stays, this is not an option.

Ok, I'm just gonna ask because this is bugging me. Why do they spell it like "Whyte Lightning" and "Lightning strikes twYce"? Whats up with the "Y's"?

Hey I know that guy in the video lol

Anyways, with the Maverick ERT announcement, it would make sense that they told us they weren't doing an aquatrax, and one could only assume they aren't doing a log flume either. So that only leaves us with only a few possibilities.........

It could be relevant to the ride, or it could just be a "clever" way to spell it and be all cool and stuff. These trends aren't new - using X's in place of "cks", or Z's in place of "s" and so on.

And Lasagna, I wouldn't take what you read on Screamscape as gospel. Its 2nd-hand info, at best.

I thought if CP could retrack the train. ( If you have your 2009 park guide map look where the pic of the PWE boat, past the 1st lagoon bridge ) Make another bridge to go over the lagoon across from woodstock express onto the island along the water edge across from camp snoopy, then down between the force and dragster , continuing around the island , across from the Iron dragon & Mantis, Then back up to cross the lagoon where the little land bridge between mantis & the force is and rejoin the original track. ( check google map )
Whew... LOL...
yeah that idea would probably mean the end to PWE .. but open ALOT of room down the trail from the walk through tunnel down to SRF, for future attractions.

^^ Thanks for clearing that up. I thought I missed something.
