Damn you Tony, smashing my GCI dreams! ;)
Here is a new idea I just thought of...
or...
Both are family friendly, and one has water. Neither are made by Togo, GCI, or Intamin. :)
Let's Get Weird.
Could you imagine how long the lines would be for eather of those attractions?
I doubt we will see eather of these at the park anytime soon.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Roller Soaker always has long lines, they only send one car out at a time. I've only ever ridden it once and it was at least half an hour wait after getting under the station.
Especially since Carrowinds removed their Roller Soaker. From what I was told by the park who traveled to Carrowinds to see about purchasing theirs, they are to high maintenance and to low capacity.
^^^Terrible ideas. No way CP is getting one of those rides. Lets be smart about this people. I am beginning to side with djDaemon. You guys are just bringing up every ride ever made with no just cause. Everyone has seen a roller soaker and noone believes CP is getting one.
Saying it isn't a Togo is like saying the coaster isn't going to be built by Microsoft. That didn't help anything.
At this point, I'd say its an Intamin of some kind. Notice that they said there would be no Aquatrax; they didn't rule out all of Intamin's designs. Add that to the comment about not taking the 'beemer' out this year or next, and I would say it is not a B & M either.
Undomesticated equines could not remove me.
If the not getting wet part is accurate, my thinking would be leaning toward it being a Dark Ride. Though, what ever they build, I'm sure I'll like it.

Could be a Dinn coaster . Denise Dinn with cci. Mabe it could be called " somewhat hard to get along with streak".

You know, it could still be a water ride. One that does not get you wet but still involves water as a key component.:)
I am still going with a flume from intamin, even with the comment of not getting wet is going around (probably not true anyways). It's probably going to be a taller, steeper version of Pilgrim's Plunge. And I know what you're going to say, "but that makes SRF insignificant" and maybe that's why its 17th birthday wont be significant. And I think it will eventually be removed. Maybe not 2010, mayne not 2011, but someday. The ride is a maintenance nightmare.
Also, knowing Cedar Point, this ride is really going to be lacking theming, but I hope for at least some rocks, canyons, and waterfalls, similar to Thunder Canyon.

Edit: Added link to a sketch I made showing the vast amount of space left on/around Millennium Island (to those who think Cedar Point is out of space :) )
White- Future attract sights
Yellow- possible 2010 attraction sight (although land clearing so far shows a much smaller footprint)

Steeper? how steep are we talking 95 degree water flume?
haha
Maybe it'll be an inverted log flume. :-P
the ffej man, They said it's not going anywhere next year, and I agree.
OKSIRYDOC, I meant steeper than Pilgrim's Plunge, which is only 45* So that could mean 46* ;)

Seems like that would get you very wet ;)

Well I'm not sure if it was commented on... but they never ruled out a Gravity Group ride. Voyage is easily one of my favorite rides..
