That's not track. Its the supports for the Paddle Wheel boats when they are taken out of the water. They place one under the four corners of the boat to hold them in place on dry land. Not track.

Any of you go to Maverick ride? If so did you catch the question that was thrown at Tony?
Question: What is new for 2010
Answer: "Well i can give you a hint.. SRF is not going anywhere. But maybe 400ft more track that dragster has now may not be out of the question."

His partner added yea we missed a hill on dragster.
Talking about Kingda Ka having the air time hill...

Could this be a hint? i have no idea anymore

well if they were indeed talking about adding an airtime hill to Dragster (for some odd reason) i really don't think they should. a saying i've heard is that if you have something really good you shouldn't make it better cause you'll end up making it worse. plz don't make it better!!

i dont know, i think i would really like an airtime hill on dragster, but i think it is very unlikely they would do it.

ok I have had time to re-think my thoughts... I do not believe we are getting a log flume in any way... I think it is a coaster 100% and not a water ride. If im wrong you guys can say I told you so all you want, but for all you log flume lovers out there, I think you are wrong. Well, I'm prob wrong but I just don't see CP giving up the coaster wars... and with the twitter accouncement.... Wheels? check Harness? check .... i just think it's going to be a coaster...

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

I happen to agree with darnovo here. Why wouldn't it be a roller coaster? Would Cedar Point go to all this trouble to increase excitement about if it is going to be a log flume?

You all are underestimating Cedar Point. It is a roller coaster. And if darnovo and I are right we can say I told you so ;-)

Because it's not. :)

An airtime hill on Dragster? That makes some of these other ideas look almost sane. I could be wrong. But, I don't think that's an airtime hill on Kingda Ka. First of all it has Magnetic Breaks all through it that you can see in this picture. I believe the hill is to help slow the coaster going into the break run.

I think I stated this here, but it may have been on Coasterbuzz. A good reason to create all of this hype for something that is not a coaster, is simply because it is not a coaster. If you think about it a coaster can create alot of its own hype simply by being a coaster. T&T could be helping this new ride create hype simply because it's not a coaster.

Doesn't TTD have magnetic breaks? I am 70% sure it is a coaster, 60% it is a wooden coaster, 30% it is a water ride.

Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc

Yes, TTD had Magnetic Breaks.

What trouble? I don't think a few twitter posts and blog posts is really all that much trouble. Besides, why wouldn't they want you to be excited for a new water ride? You think they are going to spend $10 million (random number) on a new attraction then just say, "meh its not really that good, you should probably go to Kings Dominion instead?" They build rides that they think will bring poeple($) to the park. Not rides that pad their ego as the coaster kings. Sure their is something to being able to say you have the most coasters but not if you go bankrupt trying to do it.

i have been to Cedar Point numerous times, and have shown handful's of people the park and I live in Texas. I drive from Texas to Ohio almost every year to attend the Park and I have even been on the Travel Channel for Cedar Point. I have never once ridden SRF or any other Water Ride. I actually have never even been to Soak City. I highly doubt this will be a water ride, as I don't see why a cold snowy state needs more water rides. If it is a water ride, I most likely won't ever ride it neways. It will be wake up get in like for one of the big three then ride the rest of the coasters... and get in line for miller for nighttime ride.........

i want it to be a water ride. i rode thunder canyon and srf yesterday and got drenched on both. it was fun and i cant wait to ride them again, but cedar point needs a ride that that gets people only a little wet like wwl. I cant wait until labor day weekend.

I agree. Create the hype for a ride that isn't a coaster. Because people expect a coaster from CP when the start to build something new. By creating a buzz, it gets people intrested in a ride that is different then a coaster.

Well I guess they should just rip out all the water parks in Ohio too. And may as well drain the lakes since swimming can't be done in this cold snowy state. Heck, any outdoor summer activity should just be banned.

Leave the bubble you live in. Ohio is not the state I think of when I hear "cold snowy state".
