They installed a sprinkler system on Mean Streak in 1999. If it gets to dry out, they turn those babies on. Which does a lot less then it sounds like.

Since everyone seems to think that the Mean Streak is under all this tremendous stress, the last thing you'd want to do is flatten it's turns and cause it more. Plain and simple physics 101 tells you that the trains and the structure aren't put under near as much stress when the turns are banked...bottom line.
