Actually, through the webcam, I almost think there's too much yellow... it stands out a bit too much for me, but I'll have to see it in person to judge.

Its a good idea to have bright stand out colors surrounding a ride because it attracts peoples attention. Just think when you wear a bright yellow shirt whats the first thing that people notice about you (besides being gay)...the shirt of course.
Well I only said that with respect to the immediate surroundings: sure, the added detail to attention is nice, but that against the big, dull building housing Disaster Transport... I guess it's not the ride itself as much as it is a couple of things in the surroundings, but that's just nitpickiness, nothing really major.

I was a little suprised by it, I was just expecting regular metal ones.

maXair- 4 Spins
Dragster- 36 and ONE ROLLBACK
From what I have heard from someone running the ride the queue will hold 200 people. I believe that is without portables.
98' Train Crew
99' TL Train
2000 Partime Weekends Only Mantis
2005 TL Train
2006 TL GCA
Which translates to 4 ride cycles worth of people and probably 15 minutes max of waiting time. That does seem a little on the short side. I suspect they will probably double the queue size with portables for the first year.
Then again, who's going to wait 30 minutes for maXair when Magnum almost always has less than a 30 minute wait? ;)

a LOT of people! ;-)

Yeah but what happens when everyone in the room has a yellow-shirt? Then you notice the kid with the grey shirt.
The entrance is directly across from Troika, they already have the test seats out and they have ride warning sign posted too. There are about 5 metal rails when you first enter the ride that are about 10 feet long. The yellow rails are only the perimeter rails. All the queue rails are metal. There are 3 rows about 10 feet long. They queue is really close to the mini water ride next to it.. They are missing it by about 2 or 3 feet. It is rated a 5 an agressive. thrill ride.

No, I can't believe I responding to that comment. But anyways, my point is that everything at Cedar Point is bright. Painting a railing won't really do much more to entice people to come to an area.
Fastball has a point. It's not like people say "Hey! Look at that, a yellow queue line! Let's go over there to see the yellow poles."

Look at pictures of before and after construction of maXair. The area that surrounds that part of the park is dull and colorless. It is definitly noticable standing right next to Disaster Transport and the dull stands. Believe me I work in sales and color can be a factor to entice people. If you think color has nothing to do with enticement then why repaint Mantis or Magnum?
Because they were rust buckets.
Don't get me wrong from my last post, the area definetly looks much better now.

Those light posts and the tree beds are a step in the right direction of making the area look more finished. I think it's still kind a nasty looking area over there, but hopefully the new games facade will help too and it will be a big improvement over how it was.
In my opinion, this area of the park was probably the ugliest, but followed closely by the "Million Dollar Midway" between Iron Dragon and Wildcat. It gets a little nicer when you start getting to MF/Mantis. Between that ugly laser screen, the equipment tower for the laser show, and all the concrete, it is just not very inviting.

I really think the area would look nicer if the screen was retractable, ala Hersheypark. Screen goes down during the day, nice view of Lightning Racer. Screen goes up at night and nice view of lasers and such.
Back to the games area, they have just put up a sign that has the letters S,K,I on it up.
