Gomez: They never said it specificly "We will build big rides every two years" But I think Kinzel mentioned that with a "star" park like this, a "major" attraction needs to be added every other year to keep people coming back.
rollerdude: Why don't you think Cedar Point won't go 2 years without a coaster? They will do whatever works for the market at the time. I wouldn't be suprised if CP didn't get another coaster untill 2007.

Most of the flat rides at the point dont have lines that ever reach more then a few people long. The only exception was Power Tower in its first few years.
I worked on Monster and Witches Wheel for two summers and their lines had more then a few people all the time. There were days in July that WW would have a 30-40 minute wait. The same goes for Monster. I don't think it will matter how big the queue is for Maxair because every 3 minutes fifty people will be getting on the ride. I'm sure CP has made more then enough room for there to be a large amount of people in line for maxair. You also have to take into consideration that this isn't a huge record breaking coaster. People will still run to dragster and MF in the mornings and try to get on the coasters first.
Woodstock Express was built in 1999 with the addition of Camp Snoopy. (Vince beat me to it :))
Why the heck did a topic about maXair's queue turn into, "What year will CP's next coaster open?"? This is when it becomes a guessing game other than a topic about Cedar Point. I don't like to get involved in talk about a new ride until we actually have hits of one. As of right now a dualing flyer is a very fictional type of ride.

I think maXair will have decent sized lines for a good while. It's going to be up there with Power Tower and the other "big flat rides", it's not like it's some kiddie ride. While most people go for the coasters, rides like Power Tower, Demon Drop, Chaos, etc. still get there fair share of riders. Power Tower is 7 years old and still has lines longer than some coasters. Just because it isnt a coaster doesnt mean people will forget about it in a year.

"Fictional"....If by that you meen, "never been done before", then there are plenty of CP coasters that were "Fictional".
Actually I meant made up. Someone just asked theirselves what would be cool. They thought of Dualing Dragons at IOA and put it together with the whole flyier idea. It doesn't sound true.
