Vince, I'm guessing this was something pretty major, as I know that the maintenance dept. is always getting things done as quickly as possible to get a ride that is down back up. If it was more than just a part like a spring, hose, or some other "minor" part, it may very well be something that they don't keep a stock of, or possibly something that needs re-engineered in addition to being manufactured. If it was a problem that would require a basic rebuild of the motor (which sounds like that may be the case from some descriptions of the hood being off) or something equally drastic, that will obviously take quite a bit longer.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

ive been on it before. dont worry, you're not missing much. It is way over-rated, and looks a lot cooler than it actually is. Trust me, its not that great.
I guess you should have used a ;), Vince. I don't know many people who don't care for maXair. Most like it, others won't ride it.

maXair's sensation of pulling you out of your seat makes it the scariest ride in the park to me. No other ride makes me want to hold on more, other than maybe Maverick where holding on is a must.
The fact that the line never goes over 30 minutes on weekdays is great as well. *** Edited 10/19/2007 3:32:46 AM UTC by Gomez***

I Wondered why they sent me around the park for the last half of the season. Had I known all that was needed was to turn the power back on, Seems like an easy fix right...that had to be the problem. Why dont you work in maintenance since you seem to know the answer ;)
