Maxair broken down???

I was just wondering if anyone heard about maxair being down they said for a few weeks from a major breakdown. Is this true?

On the funcam, it doesn't look to be running.

As of an incident yesterday, it is rumored to be down for the rest of the season, all i'v heard about it is that it "de-hinged" (to put it simply) during mid-cycle

WTF!!!

This will be 2 years in a row (or maybe 2 of 3) now where it has broken towards the end of the season and I haven't been able to ride. There's nothing like night time rides and looking at Raptor upside down.

i dont know, thats just how it was explained to me, but no one was hurt, thats all that really matters

Yeah well if I remember correctly, it 'overheated' last fall or the year before or whatever. You wouldn't have wanted to ride it John.

In my opinion De-hinged means something on top of the gondolum came loose and causing the ride to be down. I don't know I'm just guessing. I'm glad I was able to ride it August 5th, even though it was raining like crazy.

Honestly, there are two months left in the season. They ought to be able to get it back up in that amount of time.

I don't care that MaXair is broken, it really makes me sick, but I do hope they get it fixed soon for people who like to ride it.

Maxair is the only ride I've ever ridden that scares the crap out of me.

Aww... this disappoints me. I don't think I got to ride it at all this season. Hopefully they'll get it back up before the season is over.

hmmm...something tells me it's a minor mechanical problem....if CP knew it would be closed for a while, I would expect there to be notice on the website by 8:30pm the day after it broke down.

LMAO! I feel the same way about Skyhawk - it's the only ride in the park I've never ridden. Each time we go, I have to hear how silly it is that I could do TTD 7 times in a row for Joe Cool ERT, but I'm scared of Skyhawk.

Now I don't feel so alone. :-)

^That's how my dad is!! MaXair makes him sick because it spins and he tried Skyhawk for the first time this year and he looked like he was gonna pass out! Skyhawk is the only ride in the park that my dad thinks is scary. IMO it isn't scary at all. I don't get scared of any rides actually.

I did see right after it went down a guy going up to the top and checking things out. Today there wasn't any sign of activity around the ride. (From the time I was around it)
