Puh wa??
What I think you were trying to say was that you've never been to CP without a ride being closed an entire day.
As for that, look up down times of TTD, cmon.
I'm just ask shocked as you regarding MaxAir since I go to CP once a year and I've never seen it down...
Oh well
So he was saying that the once or twice a year that he's visited, nothing has been down for the entire day.
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
I usually go to the park about once a week, and the only time MaXair has been down for me is the present breakdown.
I don't know Kevin, I think you are just very unlucky when it comes to Giant Frisbees.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I've had terrible luck always with maXair. Never got on it in '05 because of breakdowns. Was down for basically the first 3 days of opening week '06. Got one ride finally though. Got a few rides on it in May this year at least, but the last one ended with stuck floor/OTSR and we baked in the sun for a good hour before we we were evac'ed from the ride. I love maXair, but it hates me.
Except for the current situation, I've never seen it down on any of my visits the last 2 seasons. Last season, that was about once a month, this season it was about once a week also.
It's usually a must-ride for me as well, so I'm kinda bummed. But I finally got over my (irrational) fear of Skyhawk, so I'm dealing. :-)

No, I meant that a ride has never been closed an entire day during any of my visits - that I can remember. I've been able to ride TTD every year since it opened too. Rides have been closed off and on during the day, but I've always managed to get on them at some point. During my last visit, Maverick was down for almost seven hours. But, we still managed to ride it three times. So, ride down time has never been an issue for me at Cedar Point. Like I said, I must be lucky!
The funny thing is, we have always had exceptional luck when it comes to Top Thrill Dragster (knock on wood). There have been very few visits (aside from year 1) where we have not been able to ride it.
Promoter of fog.
Any happenings on the maXair situation over the weekend?

All I say is they have closed it down to move it and the Chaos in another area in the park. Then they will have more land to see what they could do with a Coaster or another Thrill Ride, because I heard they might be taking down the Demon Drop too.
Who knows what is going to happen? I've rode that close to 100 times now, and I am fine with maXair.
Ummm...I have two words for that messed up theory, NEVER EVER. maXair is where it is for good reason. What other midway in the park is wide enough to fit a giant frisbee and a line right in the middle of it without completely choking it? Not a one, considering they can't put it in front of the big screen because it would obstruct the projectors for the screen.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
^^ I for one would love to see the big screen blocked. :)

I never said I liked the big screen either, just stating the fact that it won't happen while it stands. Though I wouldn't mind seeing maXair take it down swinging. ;)

Screamscape just posted today that the ride might not even be open by the beginning of next year. No way it can take that long...

^ Yeah screamscape is all rumors.
Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27
Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini
Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-
^^According to them, CP suddenly has a budget issue for its rides. Not sure when that happened. Sure they'll cut back on trains or staff, but they won't let one of their biggest attractions just sit there.
