This is gonna be huge whatever this is. Bookmark this page of this post RIGHT NOW so when it get's announced you can all see how right I am. I usually consider myself conservative around here when it comes to new rides too try not too get my hopes too high, but I have to get excited about this.

Whatever this ride will be...it will be BIG. This thing has been Trademarked for sales big time. Dare I say this blitz will be bigger than MF and TTD'S?

Looks like it to me.

Roughly the same amount of trademarks were applied to Patriot when that information first surfaced.

Last I checked, it wasn't in the ranks of MF or TTD.

I just cannot wait to see what this will be and I hope that it will be reliable. I guess we will just have to wait and see for more info.

^He's posting on Feb. 2 and joined Feb. 3. Found that interesting.

Back to talking about a ride no one knows anything about other than a possible name. Only on Pointbuzz.

So, Jeff (or anyone who was around)... I wasn't around for the WT fiasco. Can someone fill me in, either here or via PM?

There was a big discussion about what the next ride was going to be, and I knew it would be WT. I just didn't want to harm my relationship with industry types, so to prove I wasn't full of crap I encoded what I knew and posted the encoded stuff and posted the keys after the announcement...

Heh.. I love Walt's sarcasm on the second to last page of that thread....

I'm not even planning on sleeping tonight. I'm going to stay up all night just in case they post it a few minutes early.

Whatever this ride will be...it will be BIG.

"Big" does not necessarily mean tall. Nor does it mean fast, or long or anything else.

That said, I agree that this will be BIG.

And thanks, Jeff, for the explanation. Now, PGP away! ;)

If it is what I've been hearing, I think we'll all be happy campers.

Okay that's it! It is just going to be a big campground area expansion.

For those of you youngsters who are too young to remember the TV show, or the subsequent movie a couple years ago...Maverick was a western, hence the name fitting into the theme of Frontier Town.

As for a prediction, I'm not holding my breath for a hybrid woodie, even though that's what *I* think would work best in the area. I also don't think it will be "massive" as in trying to outdo MF or TTD. But I do think it will be something that will bring a good portion of the thrill seeking crowd to the back of the park, and very likely something that may have been installed in another park (tried and tested), just bigger, longer, faster in the good ol' CP tradition.

I keep thinking back to the silver tag I chatted with last fall about how sad it was to see WWL being removed. His response was "what is going in that space will make you forget about WWL"

Can you say "floorless?"

I can say it’s been said to many times. Floorless and flying have been talked about to death. Something that I think would make since to me would be a Dive Machine. They have been installed, tested, and tried. There are only 3 in the world, one being in the US. And Cedar Point could hold the record of bigger, faster, and a longer Diver and still not be bigger then TTD. The tallest Diver is only 200’.

I never understood why so many people want to jump on the B&M Dive Machine band wagon.

Back when it was first developed for Alton Towers I'll concede that it made sense. It was an effective way to get a train to go (nearly) vertical. Now, especially at Cedar Point, there is no reason for it as there are already 2 that do just that. Not only has the vertical drop already been done, but an underground tunnel is out of the question because of the water table.

I really don't see their novelty and I dare anyone to convince me otherwise.

Have you been on SheiKra? It’s a great ride.

I didn’t realize so many people were on that band wagon? It seems like everyone is on a floorless or flyer wagon. Those are great coasters, but I’m just saying it would be great to see a coaster that has not been done a lot. That's fine if you think there not that great. I don’t see what’s the big deal about floorless. Id rather ride Kumba then Dominator.

Not to mention it was a great way for AT to build a decent height drop without breaking the local zoning regulations. Especially since the township in which the park resides is anti-variance.
