CCMR and Corkscrew are not kid rides, which seems to be the point that you and some others on here don't seem to get.
That really depends on how you define "kids rides". While they definitely don't belong in Camp Snoopy, they are great transitions for the elementary/middle school age kids who have moved beyond Jr. Gemini and Woodstock Express, but are still intimidated by Dragster and Millenium.
I just want to start off by saying I'm sorry for bringing back an old topic. Now my question. Does Mantis ever have a line to it? It seems like no matter what kind of day it is, there is never a line for it. Anybody ever gone this season and seen a line for Mantis? I'm sure Cedar Point watches this closely.
The live cam is showing the ride, but I can't see the queue. Iron Dragon's is full, and that's almost always a minimal wait. Did they take out the middle section of the ID queue? It looks like it isn't wrapping, it's just on the outer edges.

I always am seeing a line for Mantis...
ID used to have the turnstiles qeue where Luminosity stage currently is.
Somebody at Theme Park Review claims he was walking near two ride ops talking about "New Mantis" as if it was fact.
I never see a long line for Mantis. They watch this very closely, I think if you really like this ride you should ride it now, just saying. :-)

Hmm, that makes me think he knows something, but I've learned around here to take things with a grain of salt. That would be cool If Cedar Point would someday convert Mantis into a Floorless, but only time will tell.
That's an idea that needs to be put to rest. It will not work well as a floorless and it'd be a waste of money to retrofit the entire ride. I use to think it was a cool idea, but that was years ago....when I was young and naive.:)
I'd much rather see them invest in an actual floorless. But even that is something I'd never expect them to do. Cedar Point will never get a floorless.......it's better to just accept it. ;)

^Your right Adam. That's why I said I usually take things with a grain of salt until It's actually confirmed. I guess I should of edited my last sentence. I just feel bad for Mantis because it's a great ride, but it seems like a lot of people don't like it.
I have ridden Mantis a few times and don't feel it is a very good ride at all. I am new here and maybe I'm missing something. I want know who here really likes Mantis, and if you do what you like about it.
I rode it for the first time this year, and I do not like it at all, and it is very loud.

i actually like manits, its very fun ride. i keep my head out so it doesn't get banged around. the only part i dont like is the turn into the mid-course break run, its to sharp and whips you around. but overall i like the ride.
Now we know that Shawn likes 2 rides that most people here don't.

Yeah, never really been fond of Mantis. I don't find it enjoyable and on top of that, it throws my head around too much. Ow.
