Personally, I think a Mantis repaint is very plausible and changing it to green makes sense since it is called Mantis. Not a name change, no floorless trains, just a repaint because it needs it. Did they change anything on Iron Dragon when they changed the color scheme. No! Don't expect it on Mantis either.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Smartest thing I've heard yet.

I rode it Tuesday for the first time in years. We had to wait in a line for a good 10-15 minutes at least, the park was very busy. It was very uncomfortable for me in many ways, I don't really plan to ride again. My kids claim it was riding rougher than ususal but taking the G forces standing instead of sitting was really hard on my legs so I don't think smoother would help any.
Changing Mantis into a floorless is a good idea. But what does it take to change it? Just the new cars? I doubt it. New trains means a new station, new brakes. Is it even possible? What if floorless trains are too heavy to crest the hills & loops? What if they're too light and the ride is to fast and sickening? Will it make the ride smoother or more bumpy? What if all the revamping costs more than just taking the ride out? Remember, Mantis has already been revamped. Remember Banshee anyone?
Cedar Point.
Definitely not better than Millennium.
They only changed the name. Nothing else changed about it.

I think you have your physics inversed.
Remember, Mantis has already been revamped. Remember Banshee anyone?
And that wasn't a revamping. They changed the name less than a month after announcing it. Nothing about the ride design changed.

No, I couldn't even find the other painting on it, I think you might have to ride the train to find it.

You do, from the train there is an access road to the maintenance area just before the last section of the skeleton village - where the burning house is located. It is on the track closest to the ground just after the mid brake run on Mantis.
Ok, Thanks.

You can also see it while going up the lift on Millennium. I found that out on Friday. As far as I could tell, only that small section was still all that was painted.

Unless they were stuck for hours and it wasn't mentioned I can't believe that was newsworthy. What next? "After waiting in line for narly 45 minutes potential riders are turned away because the ride is having technical difficulties!" ;)
