By the looks of the GIANT banner draped across it's structure touting it's "Top 10 Wooden Coaster" award.

Oh there is always talk about tearing it down becuase some people think it sucks. I don't personally think it sucks, but there are many other wood coasters I would rather ride....

Of course we always toss comments about its demise around, primarily because its never been a very great ride and has only gotten worse over the years, and also because it takes up a big ol' plot of valuable space.
But, just because we talk about it doesn't mean its going anywhere. After all, we also talk about nonsense like 500-footers, line-jumping being taken seriously and the Lemon Chill guy.
EDITED for consistency.

I was totally shocked to see the banner on the Mean Streak this weekend. I would vote the Blue Streak ahead of the Mean Streak by a lot. And if you factor in the difference in wait times, the Blue Streak is that much better (particuarly at night).
FOr some reason, my son loves the Mean Streak. So we always ride it at least a couple of times every trip to the park. Several years ago, we rode it when they were not braking down the first hill and the ride was a lot better. Only time that occurred though. The ride looks great. And watching it run, it looks and sounds impressive. Its just not that fun to ride.
I like to sit back and relax on MS. The ride becomes so much better.

101 on Magnum and counting...
They're not tearing down the mean streak, but next year they are adding a pamphlet area to the photo booth offering discounts to certain chiropractics in the sandusky area.
My most recent ride on it had the first hill trims on so hard the drop was almost non-existant. The roughness was also really bad, along with stacking. Looks impressive though.:)
Thrills Around the Corner!
I wish I could just exit at the midcourse brakes. The rest of the ride is such a snooze. Do the brakes really need to hit so hard in the midcourse?

Someone needs to crawl up the ride and cut the lines for the trip brakes and midcource brakes.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Let's Get Weird.
Riding in the front takes away the roughness of the ride, but I have to say the ride is much, MUCH better this season. The only bad thing about the front is the first drop (you're half way down before the train starts moving fast thanks to the trims).
Sitting in the front at night really made me like the ride a lot. The ride is more relaxing and just "fun".
I'm a fan of MS, what can I say.
Other than Mantis, I like every coaster at CP.
