^^There's a difference when they're showing testing on social media as a way of promoting the ride for the parks gain. We may never know why they don't want to show testing on the webcams. Carowinds had their cams running all through the testing process for Fury. But Cedar Point is not Carowinds and they may not be under some kind of scrutiny when testing their new rides that Cedar Point may be.
Regardless, Valravn is running successfully so far and there's only 3 weeks left in the offseason. Hold on to yer britches fer a little longer mate.

If something goes wrong, would CP really want hundreds of people possibly recording the video on their screens for it to be replayed for the life of the ride?
And even when things go right, it's not worth all the speculation that people would have since they don't know the testing process.
When Tony recorded his video, he specifically mentioned about how the train was going to go straight through the first drop without stopping. The testing was planned for that. If they were to have shown that on the webcam, within 3 minutes there would have been 10 pages on this site alone about how the train didn't stop along with all the speculation about why.
Not that I know their testing process either, but let's say they are testing that stop, and part of the testing is to let the train just hang there for an hour or four. Even though things are working exactly as planned, they get no good PR when people start speculating about that. And imagine what would happen if something went wrong.
I can't tell if that was a joke or not.
Edit: Nevermind this is the second person who said it was power tower. It doesn't look like its a piece of power tower to me.

It's Power Tower. You can see the object protruding from the outside corner of the tower in this image.
