While I do sort of miss the localized music in queues, the music and videos for Fun TV is pretty good. And the modern music selection is a nice improvement, but it would probably be nice to have some of the older stuff mixed in as well.

That's a good idea in theory, but would probably work better once the park has robust wifi throughout. It would be a pretty frustrating experience with the sometimes spotty mobile network on the peninsula.

A good DJ is far superior to any TV program. They can look at who's in the park that day, respond accordingly, and most importantly... *Interact*...
What Cedar Fair did was hire minimum wage employees to stand there and press play, then called them "DJs"...
The hilarious thing is that the general public actually thinks DJ work has anything to do with music... It doesn't. The music is just a tool... One of many at your disposal.
If you hired people that knew what they were doing, the line could be more enjoyable than the ride.
Best case scenario? Use both. Give the DJ access to the TV's too so they can VJ. Most of the GP hasn't seen what a truly talented VJ can do.

Full disclosure: This is what I do for a living. I actually get my music from the same place CP does... "Promo Only". Watch the credits on the music videos and you'll see that name periodically pop up.
Last time I was at the park, they played "Cool Kids" by Echosmith. I would take Brown Eyed Girl played 10 times in a row over that crap. The music selection has definitely shifted too far in one direction.

I still think the different areas should have different era background music. Gemini midway looks like the 70's, I used to think Blue Streak area looked like the 60's but I don't know what's going in there now. 50's would sound good around Pinks and Johnny Rockets midway.
I tried listening to the Cool Kids. They need to lay off the teen angst music. It's a drag on my ticket.

Can't please everybody with the music. I mean, I'm sure someone who is into the rap genre would want to hear more of that than pop. But if you ask me, I have not heard any good songs on FunTV this year so far. They need more songs and less shell games IMO. I'm sure it's not hard to play music over the trivia games
I can never hear it. But they need to switch those up too. Everybody knows that the object is under shell #2 on the one with the Maverick background
:) Well, I can't remember if it is 2 or 3 now. But every background has the same constant answer each time. I guess that's the point I was trying to make.
If the music could be requested in some way that would make the mix different each day. I have to say I haven't enjoyed the FUN-TV music mix so much so far this year. I think they should really mix up genres and play a bit of almost everything. Last years mix wasn't bad but it was all newer stuff. I noticed this year they added a few 80s and 90s videos but they so far aren't really the best of what those decades had to offer. At least not the ones I've seen so far.
Hey, I heard Buble in the park tonight. Much, much better!

Well since fun TV is now in they should probably replace those booths with like a tree or something.
There is one song I miss from the old rotation. I'm sure you all know what it is.
Bring back funky town :)
Based on some of the complaints about the music being played it sounds like they need to replace the booths with AARP kiosks.
