They did the same thing for the evening Frozen fireworks thing at DHS this summer as well. People were really plugged into it.

Jeff,
Are you saying Cedar Point has more people now than in 2000 but they are getting the people though the lines faster? I have heard of long waits. I get to hear the complaints. I think the interactive line entertainment would be an excellent idea for customers. And being local we do not even go if the lines are long. We do the morning run and evening fun.

As I was waiting in line recently this past weekend for Maverick im starting to not enjoy the Fun TV. I feel like its a big distraction which I guess that's the purpose of them but I think in a bad way. I seen a bunch of people just starring at the TVs instead of socializing with their friends and family. Kinda like the cell phone thing when people are on break at work.
I think the DJs were fun when they came in on the evening rides, I always remember at some point a beach ball was being tossed about like in a stadium. It seems the majority here like the FunTV better, I think they need to focus on the fun factor in their choices.
Honestly, I don't see anybody getting "pumped" for the evening rides anymore like back in the day when it was like a party, a lot of whooping and such mostly the guys, but everyone was excited.
I think I mentioned this before, some of you said it was because everyone is in their phone.

It was for liability reasons. People will sue over anything if they think they can make a little money. I can just see someone getting hit by one of the balls and suing the park because it gave them a headache and ruined the rest of their day. When the real reason for their headache was thinking--something they seldom did. Either thinking or too much beer.
Yeah, I remember a full queue on Magnum on many nights and the beach balls would come out. Great fun and it made the time go by quick. Part of the fun was seeing how long the ball could be kept away from the ride op or cop that wanted to take it away.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Oh, my, I don't think we ever went on a day that constituted a three hour wait. We always went on a weekday in June, so I would suppose that means they had a DJ every evening back then.
edit: We could have gone a few years in late July, too, when a cousin came up from Florida but always on a weekday.

After prom on a Saturday 1989 was somewhere around a 3 hour wait. The entire line full and spilling out into the midway...First time, I wanted to ride it bad. My date was scared of pretty much anything so my friend and I ditched our "men" and rode it ourselves while they wandered the park and showed their manliness by winning us stuffed animals LOL
I think they should add more interactivity to Fun TV. Like for the trivia questions and games, you should be able to text your answer to a number, and if you are the first to answer correctly, it could send you a coupon for something like a drink. Or they could make it so that you can earn points that you could cash in toward various prizes.
