Well, it depends on where the traffic came from. If they all came from Tin Foil Hats R Us then that might not be a good thing.
Goodbye MrScott
John
They are new computers that are going to be hooked up to signs all around the park that tell us how long lines are and what rides are down.
Let's Get Weird.
I don't think it's going to be a new ride. Unless I missed something I don't recall seeing any comments about markers or site clearing during the season. The majority of you would have spotted something indicating a new ride coming. Nothing gets by you guys. I think they are just having some fun with everyone. At most, it could be new trains for one of the coasters, maybe.
^^^How about you have some respect for other peoples opinions and not make fun of it. You need to learn some respect.
^Oh no, not this again.
As for the computer idea, while at least that belongs in an office, I dont think it is that. I cant imagine a program that only has to contain a database that at most 24 different wait times (14 coasters, Maxair, Skyhawk, PT Blue, PT Red, Snake River Falls, Thunder Canyon/Cornstalkers, and 4 indoor haunts during Halloweekends) with imput (from the ride queues) and output (to the wait boards) would really need its own computer, let alone something that big. However, I do wish that was one of the improvements for next year, I love how at Disney or Universal you know how long all the waits are by simply looking at one board.
All right!!! this again. I like the respect thing, and I think you should have it for eveeryone's ideas. A little common courtesy would be nice as well. Back on topic, wouldn't it be great if the big suprise under cover meant they were taking avalanche run out of the box?
^ yeah! :) That would be cool, but will never happen :(
1. If they remove the box, then they'll most likely remove the whole ride.
2. And when they remove the ride, they'll most likely put in some dinky ride or the long lost cyclone everyone wants.....

I think you need to go back to grammar and spelling school.
Furthermore, the type of system that would be required to handle "only the wait times for the 14 rides, and Halloweekends" would most definitely need more than just "one computer". I'm not a tech geek with computers, but I'm thinking servers, hardware, software, input/output control, connectivity all over the park...I'm pretty sure for a system like that, they might need more than one computer.

^I was talking about a system so that the park could have a series of signs in high traffic areas that told you all the waits for the major rides around the park. Halloweekends operations, I think Im fair to assume, already has computers running what needs to be done.
Can someone please explain to me how I was disrespectful? Seriously I don't understand why "some" people are so touchy on here.
Last year Tony was in the Dragster Station while I was sitting on a train. I told him if there will be a new ride coming 2009 or 2010. I just said "FLOODGATE". He rolled his eyes around and said ya, and wasn't that happy that I said that.Would that be true, and that is the new water ride or a water coaster in 2009 or 2010.
Winston your tone of your posting was pretty mean . Just kidding. Does anyone have the address of the grammar school? Why couldn't they take the box off of avalanche run? It really gave a nice view of the lake.

Winston, I was referring to JuggaLotus's post, not yours. People are entitled to their opinion, but insulting a group of people in a negative way is not an opinion, its disrespectful. As for whats under the tarp, its probably paint that everyone on here is getting all excited about.
Hey, uh - Pirate. His post is in no way rude or condescending. Please learn the way we work around here before you go spouting off about how someone hurt your feelings.
What, exactly, is rude about that? It's his "opinion" of a certain website.
Some guy recently said something to defend his case, and in case you missed it, let me put it in quotes here... "people are entitled to their own opinions."
Then again, your opinion that he is being disrespectful is just that as well, an opinion. A wrong one, but an opinion nonetheless.
I am the one who said everyone is entitled to their opinion. I believe though what he said was disrespectful and should not have been said. It had no place in this thread or in words at all. Not everyone that surfs that site has anti-Cedar Fair views and might just be there to reminisce about Geauga Lake. If you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all.
Tell that to them over at GLT. I posted over there under this same screen name, just wanting to reminisce about GL, and offering my input, and was immediately told to leave because I was a "buzzard". So, really, if you want to bring up rudeness and/or name-calling, let's start there.
Don't tell me "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" - this isn't 3rd grade anymore, and not everyone is going to agree with everyone. That's life.
Again, you believe what he said is disrespectful, that's your opinion. He has just as much of a right to state his as you do.

Clearly the 3 ^'s mean it was JuggaLotus's post...
Thats why most forums have quotes, but on Pointbuzz quoting is practically a bannable offense.
