And you can go on and on and on and on defending TTD. However, the head of the company said himeself it was one of the worst business decisions ever. Get over it.
I'm not raining on the parade, only telling it like it is. The coaster is thrilling, but it's short. I would much rather spend my time riding other coasters in the park.

^Then get in line for MF. For all the people that say the ride is too short; DON'T RIDE IT. Not only will the ride remain short, the line will be as well. This is a forum about TTD and we talk about it.

The incident happened when the cable snapped. I believe the cable snapped 3 times in 2004. From what we know, the cable snapped a grand total of ZERO times in 2005. They fixed that problem.
In 2004 CP didn't use the cable that Intamin had recommended, instead they went to a cheaper one. Then in 2005 they used the better one that they used in 2003 because of the issues they had in 2004. This is what a ride op told me. Look there word isn't god but it makes sense.

Gomez, you're right, this is a forum about TTD and how it was Kinzel's "Worst Decision Ever." I have to agree, I can definitely pass TTD up and enjoy the other rides in the park that actually run on a regular basis.

Waiting in line for an hour for a 20 second ride that may or may not stay up is not my idea of a fun day.
That's just me.
Gomez I had a question from what you posted on page 4. You said the attendance went up in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003? Did Top Thrill Dragster cause a decrease in attendance a little at all? I know a lot you will be rolling your eyes on this question, but I"m just curious.

Yeah, but it's not like it's the only coaster that I hit when I go to CP (wouldnt you agree Gomez?). It's just my favorite ride there. Sure If I had the time I would go on it all day but I don't like neglecting MF, Magnum, Raptor, Mantis, etc, etc. Dragster's usually always the first, middle and last ride that I go on during a trip. Even one ride on Dragster makes me happy.

Oh don't worry, I will!
Oh and don't forget kyle that Kinzel also said that he will change his mind if Dragster runs better this year......which it will!!:)

I have waited in line all day for just one ride on Dragster. One thing that I have never done is left that line unless we where forced to. In my mind that was one of the only rides in the park but that is how I have so many rides on Dragster.

Your funny TTD-120. Anyway though, your one of those people I pass when Dragster is down and make me think "WHY"! What I mean by that is why would you sacrifice your whole day to wait for Dragster to open when it's been down all day? I could conquer at least 20 in that time span.
Yeah, cause there aren't any other good rides at the park that are worth waiting for. Kids these days...
I agree with Ben. All that time spent waiting for such a short experience is pretty worthless. I make sure I ride once every trip, but thats all. There are far too many other attractions at the park to justify wasting valuable hours of my life in line for a non-coaster 20-second thrill ride.

I'll hold you to that. ;)

The way I look at it TTD an amazing thrill from start to finish. Now if you look at MF there is a longer ride but to me the ride only has about 20 seconds of the thrill that TTD has. Mainly the drop and first hill match the thrill of TTD.

As if Millennium Force is a 25 minute ride?
It seems like it, compared to TTD. Actually, I've preferred riding Magnum mostly lately. 2 minutes to walk up to the platform, 2 minute ride.
I haven't waited an hour for Millennium Force in so long. It's really not worth it.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you. It's just that most rides in the park don't last very long. You could say (and people have), "I'm not waiting x hours to ride ABC because it only last y seconds," for a lot of rides.
Thankfully, if you know what you're doing, the wait can be kept at a minimum for almost everything.
Agreed, maybe I should have said "Waiting an hour for 1 element.." ;)
I really dislike waiting in line for rides I've ridden a bunch of times. Days with lines make me enjoy other aspects of the park.
But Dragster always seems to have a line if its open, unless it's those first couple of Bonus Friday nights.
