I have a feeling CP's won't be ready either... Looking at the construction, it seems they still have a little bit of a ways to go. Hope I'm wrong though...
I think it's way too early to make that call. Crappy weather has been had by all, yes, but CP is already ahead of the pace that KI was. There is just over 2 weeks to go for CP...KI has less than 48 hours, and the call was just made.
Relax! :) Good weather is on its way.

Not even a full week ago, Kings Island started to assemble the seats on their Windseeker. Cedar Point already has their frame built and ready for the seat installations. To tell the truth, I think Cedar Point still has enough time! But I'm sure there are other processes to go through to have it open on time too
I feel as though we're still ok, especially seeing the pace the Adena crew had been at recently. All we have left, as far as ride components go, is the lights, the arms, and the seats, all which take a relatively short amount of time.
As long as all of the ride components are done by May 7 (1 week before opening), they'll have enough time to test and train, albeit a short amount of time.
I wonder if CP is getting advice from KI and or Wonderland about any "quicker" or "easier" means of constructing certain parts of the ride. I mean, Monty IS head of Maintenance and Construction for the entire chain and headquarters IS at CP so that would make sense to me where he could be conversing with Mr.Dangler and the other VPs of Maintenance and Construction about the same ride being built at the other parks.
A community effort building for a common goal if you will. :)
That being said, I'm on the "We still have time" side of the fence looking at the "ladder of doubt" that would put me ON the fence.

This is a big bummer, as we are going on opening day. Oh well, life goes on.
Cedarfair has not had very good luck as of late, getting new rides open on time.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Well, off seasons are shorter than they were 10 years ago. And every year it seems people are tighter with their budgets. That makes for a situation where small hiccups make big problems. Someone call Al Gore and tell him to bring some of that global warming to Ohio. ;)

If Cedar Point can't get Windseeker opened on time, someone needs to get fired. Every new ride Cedar Point puts in is not open on time. Not a good trend. If i was in charge of Cedar Point or Cedar Fair as a whole company, a ride not opening on time would not be happening on my watch without someone paying the price for it. Sure a ride can have unseen problems that cause it to be delayed but ride after ride is unacceptable. I really hope Windseeker is open on time after the embarresment that was Shoot the Rapids.
my fav. rides:
1) Top Thrill Dragster
1) M-Force
