Those supports in the second link to me look like they would be used to support like a lift Hill or maybe low clearence support like they used for Millennium Force so Paddlewheel Excursions could go through.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this track?

I thought it might be some sort of lift hill, but does it need that many supports, especially when they are that short?
launch section? Yes. Station area? No.

or both :)
maybe you have to jump on the train while it's in launch?
"Water will be involved." MrScott 2006
hopefully that would cut down on the lines! (or limbs)

Having read this forum since '98 (geez, that was a while ago!), not too many comment make me laugh anymore because it seems like it's the same jokes after a while, but that, for some reason was hilarious :)
Thanks PlasteredPrimate ;)

Probably more limbs then anything else.
R.I.P. Mr. Scott
That appears to be the station with the decline/turn (toward the camera location) and into the lift hill, imo.
Since we all know that CF is not into pioneering new ride designs, what if this coaster takes proven designs and makes them bigger, longer, and more unique. Say perhaps an AquaTrax with inversions and some sort of water theming?
I don't think it's going to have any sort of water theme because there is already a western theme going on with "Maverick" and the signs to.

I wouldn't call the AquaTrax a proven design, as seeing that it is the only one in the entire world. And we all know what happens when one takes a "proven design" like "Xcelerator" and makes it bigger and longer... you get a great ride like TTD with all the bugs one can think of.
^ not necessarily true depending on what the heck they end up making but it is a very true possibility!!!
There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force
I like the organized Project 07 Page now... Thanks Walt!!!!!

Not sure where else to put this so...here's a bit more info on that PortAventura coaster which, I dont think we could argue, is not out of the question in terms of what it could be.
THE TECHNICAL FACTS:
THE THEME:
The new “coaster” will be based on a crazy machine to transfer wine barrels, created by a crazy inventor. During the waiting area we will see several robots collecting the wine, and in the end we will raise in the machine of transport of barrels (the coaster). The wine culture is traditional at Mediterrània. The new coaster of Port Aventura hasn't a official name.
I would also add that this coaster (after looking at the concept art) is very close to the ground, and has the capability for many more inversions, etc...
The theme is bizarre.
Promoter of fog.
